A must when visiting Napa/Sonoma - Mariah scheduled three amazing winery experiences for us and Nigel guided us through our day. We saw and learned so much during our time with Nigel and the reps from each of the wineries we visited. These are visits and experiences custom tailored to the client and are not available without the special relationship Bohemian has with the wineries. We visited in early November after the busy season and had amazing weather. Nigel is very knowledgeable, charismatic and patient. We went over our allotted time because we took a bit longer than expected at our last stop (sorry!) Nigel was very accommodating and we appreciated the time he spent with us. Pretty cool riding around in an old Range Rover! We highly recommend this company and feel it is a great value considering what they provide and the thought they put into each tour. Avoid the crowds and book a special tour you won't forget. We'll be back!

Amazing wine experience - We were picked up by Nigel at our airbnb and taken to a private winery (not available to the public). The owner was truly engaging and interesting. He explained all about wine making and his philosophy. He then took us to his home and we tasted great wines in his backyard overlooking the vineyards and hillside. It was amazing and we all joined the wine club. Nigel was a wealth of knowledge about Sonoma and the wine region. He then took us to another private vineyard for lunch and tastings with the owner. This was the best winery tour that I have been on and would highly recommend when you visit Sonoma.

The best day ever! - We had friends visiting California from Atlanta and had limited time, so we wanted to get a great overview of the beautiful Sonoma Valley. The best decision ever was to let Bohemian Highway Tours help us to relax, learn, and "taste" what the Valley has to offer. Nigel was so informative and charming. Thank you, Nigel! We visited two "by appointment only" wineries - I am not even allowed to tell you about one of them because of the unique and amazing background of its owner. It was absolutely wonderful! We had an amazing lunch and a very full day of discovery and relaxation. We could never have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Ally and Nigel, for starting this outstanding business.

Such a great time! - I had friends visiting from out of town last weekend and they wanted to do a day in Sonoma. I wanted to be able to kick back and relax with them (rather than driving and playing tour guide) so I looked into charter services and tours and came across Bohemian Highway. I spoke with Mariah a couple of times before out trip to finalized the itinerary. Because I live in SF, I frequent Sonoma so wanted to make sure the places on the agenda were top-notch. In retrospect, I should have trusted Mariah more because the places she chose ended up being perfect (even though I had never been to a couple of them). Our driver, Jason, was amazing. He was prompt to pick us up and extremely accommodating. He took lots of pictures for us throughout the day and did an excellent job of keeping us on track to make our reservations without rushing us. It was so amazing to be able to relax and not have to even look at the clock all day because I knew Jason was on top of it and would let us know when it was time to move on. I have to apologize to Jason because we had a little too much fun and ended up turning the ride back to the city into an obnoxious karaoke session, which was a blast for us (after three wine tastings!) but I'm sure was not at all fun for him. Thank you (and we're sorry!), Jason!

Customized wine country experience - My husband & I toured Sonoma & Napa for three days with Bohemian Highway. Our driver, Jess, was fantastic! He explained in depth the wine making process and showed us vineyards/vines and educated us about the decisions and labor that go into producing quality wine. The entire experience was totally personalized to our requests. We visited smaller less touristy venues and always had private tours & tastings. The lunches provided were delicious and Jess gave us excellent recommendations on great local restaurants & events during our stay. We have traveled Europe extensively and have used nationally recognized travel agencies but I must say Bohemian Highway has given us the most personalized perfect vacation we have ever experienced!!!

The best way to visit wine country - Living in Marin, we are no strangers to wine country and its beauty. But, by far, this is THE best way to experience it. From the moment Nigel picked us up we were taken care of with such ease and fun it was amazing! We visited the most beautiful wineries and learnt so much while tasting and enjoying delicious wines. But it really was the care that went into planning our day that made Bohemian Highway stand out as an incredible experience. The mimosas on pick up, the cool ride, the choice of wineries, the picnic lunch, the maps and information… the list goes in!!! Thank you Nigel & Allyson for making this day so very special. We will see you again soon - for sure!!!

Amazing experience for families to explore Sonoma! - We were picked up from our home in San Francisco in the early morning by our tour guide Sterling Macdonell. From the start he was very nice and personable. It felt like we were spending the day with a friend that was taking us sightseeing in their hometown. During the ride to Sonoma, Sterling made sure that we were comfortable by offering us drinks and snacks and playing children's music on the radio. On the ride to Sonoma he talked to us about the history of Sonoma and winemaking. We chose the Fresh Air & Adrenaline tour offering as my family is very adventurous and enjoys spending time out in nature. Our day started off with a hike at Jack London State Park in Sonoma. We got a chance to see some raptors, visit the museum and the Wolf House Ruins. After that we had lunch in the Sonoma Plaza and then we set out to the woods to learn how to trapeze. The trapeze class was definitely the highlight of the day. The setting could not have been more perfect. Our class was right under a canopy of trees next to a stream on a private estate in the woods. I am someone who is afraid of heights, but the instructors were very supportive and did everything to make me feel comfortable to take the plunge. Overall it was a fun and exhilarating family experience. My kids loved it. They thought it was amazing and would like to return for more lessons. We finished off our day by visiting a chocolate factory to do some chocolate tasting. Sterling took photographs of our family throughout the day. I can't wait to get to see the photos. I'll upload some photos as soon as we get them. Bohemian Highway Travel Co. completely exceeded our expectations and we plan to book again in the future. They did a great job perfectly curating a day of adventure for our family. Whether you are a tourist or a Bay Area local, you can't go wrong with Bohemian Highway Travel Co. They know everything there is to know about Sonoma from the best wineries, restaurants, etc. to curate a perfect private tour out to the wine country.
