Unique area tour - Nice sized group to travel with. Guide took us to various parts of Napier so we could see the area from different vantage points / living areas. Shared personal experience of the area and made the trip very enjoyable. Learnt a lot about a great place without feeling rushed or bombarded with inane details, I.e. not script led.

Awesome day spent with such a lovely person. Tere was a delight and her tour really great value . Five star review - Tere has a beautiful warm personality. We hit it off with her from the start. Fantastic knowledge of wineries, art deco and Napier region in general. The wineries were varied and the tastings personalised. We bought at all 3 wineries. The grazing Platter at the last stop was absolutely delicious and we really enjoyed sitting with her and chatting. One of the best guided tours in this country. We recommend her absolutely!!

May not be what you are expecting - The description of this tour seems a bit inflated. While we did go to all the places mentioned, the time allotted could have been shorter since we mainly did a lot of driving around past the same historic places a number of times. Felt like we were just filling time. Would have been much better to have parked and walked the main 2-3 art deco blocks so we could all take great photos and see things better than via a "cruise-by" inside a crowded van. Plus we arrived at the so-called wine tasting about 30 minutes early. Description should read "sample 2 of 4 possible wines" as that's what we did. There was no introduction of the wines or anything else one would expect from a wine tasting. A guy came out and said the names of 4 wines and gave us the choice of 2 to sample about a 2 oz pour, and left. That was it! Not even the opportunity to buy any of the wines had we even considered them good enough to do so. The snack platter was nice. The most interesting part of the day was the Maori compass stop and LeAnne's personal family stories about her family's life in Napier. But all of this was overshadowed by the fact that we were never given any clear directions about how long we had to explore a stop or when to gather to hear the contextual narratives. It was all a bit like drinking weak tea knowing it could have been so much better.
