Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Masai Mara National Reserve - (Complimentary airport pick-up is available for all guests arriving by flight on the morning of Day 1. The pick-up time is scheduled for 6 am from the airport to the departure point in Nairobi city.)
At 8 am, guests will be collected from a hotel within Nairobi CBD and begin the journey to Maasai Mara via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, offering a stunning view of the Rift Valley floor. Arrival at Maasai Mara is scheduled in time for lunch and check-in. At 4 pm, embark on a sunset game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve. Return to the camp for a delicious dinner, followed by a restful evening at the camp.

Maasai Mara Reserve is Kenya’s most popular tourist destination. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. It is considered the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November, making it a phenomenal spectacle and a wonder of the world.

Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara Reserve

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Begin the day at 7 am
Spend the entire day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. The driver, with assistance from other guides and radio communication, will navigate to various parts of Maasai Mara for optimal game viewing opportunities. Our experienced drivers will provide insights into animal traits and behaviors. Numerous resident animals graze in the park.
At lunchtime, the driver will select an excellent picnic site for lunch.
You will visit the Mara River and observe resident hippos lounging on the riverbanks.
Game drives continue until 4 pm.

In the Mara, perhaps the most spectacular natural event occurs: the great migration. This annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) is in search of water and pasture. Following them are the savanna predators – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.

Mara River - Enjoy full-day game drives, during which your guide will take you to the Mara River.
You will have the opportunity to spot wildlife heading to the river to quench their thirst.
You will also catch a glimpse of resident hippos and crocodiles basking on the riverbanks.
