Excellent safari on a budget - Excellent, well organised budget safari. Castro was our driver and guide and he did a great job getting us to where the action was in seeing animals preying and spotting cheetahs on the prowl and leopards in trees. We stayed in a cabin which was warm, had mosquito nets and hot water! The food was satisfying and there was wifi. Having also done a safari in the Serengeti I would say that Maasai Mara is much better as it is more compact and you can see many more animals in a shorter amount of time in a smaller area. Well done to Castro for making my first safari the best!

Experienced detail oriented tour guide and great safaris experience - We went with perfect safaris and was placed with Castro. He was great at his job and was able to track down a lot of animals- ie we were the first to see many of the animals before other tour trucks came to the scene. This includes spotted hyenas, groups of rhinos, and 7 lioness crossing the road as well as numerous elephant families. He is good at anticipating when certain animals will arrive at the scene and then putting us in front of the action. We went during the great migration and saw a lot of wildlife, elephants and wilderbeasts. Out of the big 5 we saw 4 and on the side a cheetah and a Savana cat— which Castro and one other jeep was able to spot. We also saw all of the ugly 5. Attention to detail was present. Our tour guide made sure we got to see the sunset (when available) and also tried to do his best so we can see that Mountain View from ambroseli park even though for most of the day it was overcast. He also anticipated ahead of time it will be overcast so had asked us to take a picture of the mountain so we don’t miss anything. He also has binoculars for rental on the car that’s about 12x magnification. He also diligently listened in on to radio communications for the shared knowledge of where to drive to hone into other tour guides animal finds. Overall our tour guide is diligent, knowledgeable, and experienced. He also made sure we had enough water and would periodically visit a clean bathroom. We were lucky to use perfect safaris. I realized along the way how rare it was to be placed with one tour guide the entire time. Some of the people kept getting switched in and out, and some of them had been switched around 3-4 times already and each time they will wait around like 4 hours for their guide. We had Castro for 7 days. And the lounging was adequate and most of the times it was quiet enough for adequate sleep. The food balance was excellent with ample beans, greens high content carbs as well as protein selection and was buffet style. There was also ready peeled fruit like watermelon for those that are not afraid to gamble with their bowels. My family ate some of that exposed fruit and did not suffer from gastroenteritis. This was an amazing experience and I would say half of the success mainly comes from who the tour operator is as well as who you get as a guide. We are very happy with our experience. By the way I really hate these websites like TripAdvisor that tries to steal my data just so I can write a review. Like I have better things to do with my time than to waste it trying to fiddle around to log in.

PERFECT GUIDE - highly recommended - We were met by Sammy at our apartment in downtown Nairobi and driven to the Simba Lodge. Sammy was with us the entire time, proved to be the absolute perfect driver and guide. All throughout the trip - from pickup in Nairobi to drop off at a hotel in Nairobi we received the best possible service from Sammy - and HIGHLY recommended all future visitors to ask for Sammy’s availability - and hope to have him as your guide.

Amazing Trip to Masai Mara - We went along with our family friends. The trip was very well organized. Giraffe camp was good in hospitality. Very clean and courteous staff. Driver George was superb with his driving skills and Masai Mara park knowledge. We have seen Big 4 out of Big 5. Masai people are also good and accommodating.

Unforgettable Kenya safari - Our safari in Kenya was truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and a big part of that was thanks to our amazing driver and guide, Castro. From the moment we were picked up, he made us feel safe, comfortable, and incredibly well taken care of. Joseph’s knowledge of the parks, wildlife, and local culture was outstanding. He had a great eye for spotting animals & navigating . He went out of his way to make sure we had the best viewing angles for photos. If you're planning a safari in Kenya, I can’t recommend this experience highly enough – and if you can request Castro as your driver, you’ll be in excellent hands!

The best safari & the best guide! - Quite literally the best experience of my life! Pickup and drop off were smooth. The accommodation and the food was even better than I expected. But most importantly, we had the BEST guide Castro! Castro was super nice and funny and so knowledgeable. We were able to see 4 of the Big Five and so many other animals because of him. We were always in the right spots to take great photos and videos. An experience I will hold with me for forever, thank you!

7 days Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli Safari - Overall the trip was good because of our tour guide Mr. Castro! But the stay at one of the camp site was disappointed. Perfect Safaris can reconsider to look for another camp site at Maasai Mara. Food was average...
