Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara, 5 to 6 hours, Distance: 250km

Maasai Mara National Reserve - The driver will collect guests from their Nairobi hotel at 0730hrs for the journey to Mara. Travel northwest, ascending into the Kikuyu highlands, and descend along the eastern escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. A brief stop will be made at the viewpoint on the escarpment for a restroom break. The tour guide will also provide insights into the formation of the Great Rift Valley below.

The journey continues towards Narok town. Upon arrival in Narok, there is an option for a break. Proceed to Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch at 1300hrs, followed by hotel check-in. After lunch, guests can enjoy a siesta to relax after the long drive. The first game drive begins at 1600hrs when the sun is less intense. Explore the savannah to spot lions, cheetahs, buffalo, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, leopards, rhinos, topi, elands, hyenas, zebras, and more. Return to the lodge at dusk for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full Day Game Drive at the Masai Mara

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Start the day with a warm cup of coffee and biscuits at 0600hrs before departing for a morning game drive in the park to observe the migration and predators. Guests might witness a cheetah chase or a lion hunt. Every moment in the Masai Mara is unique. This 2-hour morning game drive offers the best opportunity to see the cats hunting. Due to the wet grass, the cats prefer to walk along the warmer game tracks, providing a great chance to see them up close.

Return to the lodge after the game drive for a full buffet breakfast. Relax at the lodge for the remainder of the morning. Lunch is served at 1300hrs. Depart for a second game drive in the evening at 1600hrs to search for elusive animals that may not have been seen in the morning.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi

Giraffe Centre - Enjoy a leisurely morning with a buffet breakfast. Check out by 0900hrs and drive back to Nairobi with stops along the way. Guests will be dropped off at their Nairobi hotel after the tour.
