Nairobi - Maasai Mara
Maasai Mara National Reserve - At 7:00 AM, the operator will pick you up from your hotel or the airport to begin the journey to Mara, passing through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Here, you can enjoy a stunning view of the Rift Valley floor. After checking in, relax until the afternoon. At 4:00 PM, embark on a game drive in the Mara Reserve until late, then return to the camp for dinner.
Rift Valley Province - On the way to Maasai Mara, there will be a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Originally named the ‘Great Rift Valley’ by British explorer John Walter Gregory, this geographic stretch spans 6,000 km across the Middle East and Africa, from Jordan to Mozambique. The valley showcases dramatic changes in topography, including scarps, volcanoes, lakes, ancient granitic hills, flat desert landscapes, coral reefs, and islets. The breathtaking view from Nairobi, Kenya, is truly remarkable. As you approach, the ground seems to vanish beneath you, extending thousands of kilometers in both directions. This is an excellent introduction to the Kenyan Rift Valley, and the most amazing part is delving deeper to explore the Lake System of the Rift.
Maasai Mara National Reserve
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Spend the entire day exploring Mara in search of the Big Five. Enjoy picnic lunches in the Reserve as you traverse the Mara. This day includes a visit to the Mara River, the site of the great wildebeest migration and river crossing. Even if it’s not migration season, it’s still a spectacular sight with many resident hippos and crocodiles basking in the sun. You’ll also see numerous grazing animals coming to quench their thirst. Optional: In the evening, visit a Maasai village for a cultural tour at USD 20. Learn about the Maasai community and interact with the local Maasai people. An optional balloon safari at USD 380 per person can be arranged early in the morning, followed by the regular program. The Mara is home to perhaps the most spectacular natural event: the great migration.
Mara River - This is where the animal migration occurs, with large herds of wildebeests and zebras crossing the Mara River. You’ll also take a guided walk along the riverbanks with an armed ranger to see Nile crocodiles and hippos.
Depart Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru Park
Lake Nakuru - After breakfast, begin the drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Check in at the resort in the late afternoon, where you can swim, relax, or use the Wi-Fi. Dinner will be at the resort hotel.
Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha
Lake Nakuru - Enjoy an early breakfast and depart by 7:00 AM directly to the park. Experience Lake Nakuru National Park with its magnificent, rare white rhinos, part of the Big Five. There’s also a chance to see pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 5 hours, followed by lunch, then a 1-hour drive to Naivasha, arriving in the afternoon for a boat ride on Lake Naivasha and an evening walk on Crescent Island.
Lake Naivasha - Explore Lake Naivasha’s wildlife on a 1-hour boat tour. Spot hippos just below the water’s surface and observe diverse birdlife, including African fish eagles, lesser flamingos, African spoonbills, and little grebes.
Crescent Island Game Park - Take a walk through Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, one of Kenya’s most beautiful parks, often called Naivasha’s best-kept secret. It’s perfect for wildlife watching, with many creatures to see, including hippos, giraffes, and eagles. Enjoy an evening walk on the island with excellent photography opportunities.
Depart Naivasha - Amboseli
Observation Hill - After breakfast, embark on a journey to Amboseli National Park, renowned for its large herds of African bush elephants and scenic views with Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. Check in at AA Lodge Amboseli for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive to see popular residents like predators and their prey, such as zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and hippos, with a view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Later, have dinner and stay overnight at AA Lodge Amboseli.
Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park - Spend a full day in the park after breakfast, with a packed lunch, searching for popular residents like predators and their prey, including zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and hippos, with a view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. If you finish early, return to the lodge to relax and swim. There will also be an opportunity to visit a Maasai village to learn about their culture. Later, return to AA Lodge Amboseli for dinner and an overnight stay.
Amboseli Eco-system - Explore and experience the greater Amboseli ecosystem.
Observation Hill - Watch elephants bathe in a swamp from the summit of Observation Hill, a pyramid-shaped volcanic hill rising over the predominantly flat Amboseli National Park. Enjoy views of the plains and swamps against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro. This is one of the best places to see elephants, attracting many tourists, both local and international. In addition to large mammals gathering here to drink, you can also see flocks of pink flamingos. Bring binoculars and a powerful lens for great pictures.
Amboseli - Nairobi
Amboseli Eco-system - Enjoy early morning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After breakfast, check out with a short game drive en route out of Amboseli and drive to Nairobi. Lunch will be served on the way at a traveler’s motel. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
This marks the END OF THIS INCREDIBLE TOUR.
Kimana - This is the general area where the stay is located, and there will be an opportunity to visit the Maasai tribe to learn more about their culture, make friends, and enjoy singing and dancing with them.
