Begin the day with breakfast before departing from Nairobi to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and then embark on an afternoon game drive. Look out for big cats such as lions and cheetahs as they hunt during the sunset when the animals are most active. Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, set off on a morning game drive. Discover the reserve’s wildlife, including the Big Five and over 400 bird species. Relish the breathtaking landscape of the Maasai Mara, renowned as Kenya’s premier wildlife sanctuary. Pause for a packed lunch while enjoying the panoramic views. Post-lunch, continue with an afternoon and evening game drive, seeking out wildlife you may have missed earlier. Capture photos of the stunning scenery and diverse wildlife.

From Maasai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Day 3: Return from Maasai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

Rise early and savor a warm cup of tea or coffee before embarking on a sunrise game drive at 6:30 AM. Early morning is ideal for spotting predators on the hunt, as well as other wildlife before the day heats up. The golden morning light also offers excellent photography opportunities.
After approximately three hours on the plains, return to the camp for a hearty breakfast. Then, check out of the lodge, bid farewell to the friendly staff, and commence the journey back to Nairobi by road.
En route, there is an option to visit a Maasai Village, a traditional settlement of the Maasai people, to learn about their customs, culture, and dances. The journey includes a stop for lunch and short breaks for stretching.
Expect to arrive in Nairobi between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, depending on traffic. You will be dropped off at your hotel, the airport, or another agreed location.
