Perfect! - My husband and I booked this Rose Island Perfect Beach Day for a shore excursion while we were visiting Nassau, Bahamas on a cruise ship. We booked through tripadvisor. It was the best day of our cruise. The pick up was easy from the cruise ship terminal and from there we enjoyed a beautiful boat trip that took about 30-45 minutes. There was so much to see just on the boat trip including big mansions, beautiful blue, clear water and turtle sightings. When we got to the island we saw the pigs run down to the water to swim with people and we were able to get a lot of great pictures. We had brought our snorkeling gear with us, so we snorkeled right off the beach and saw plenty of fish swimming around rock formations. It was nice to get in and out of the water on our own schedule for the few hours that we were there. There is a little bar that served up a plate of food and a soda to those that wanted it and it was included in the price. The crew was very fun and informative. They told us a lot about who lived in the mansions and stopped at a place where there are a lot of turtles so we could see them. There were turtles everywhere. We were able to enjoy a stress-free day, a great boat ride, pictures of swimming pigs and turtles, and all that for only $49.00. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants all the Bahamas has to offer, all in one day!

Rose Beach - We chose to leave from the cruise port.
It was super easy, there was a bit of a wait, but once the boat shows up it takes you straight from the cruise port to Rose Island.
They stop at a turtle nesting zone shortly before the island itself, we didn’t see any turtles :(
The island itself is gorgeous and the sand is white and soft. It is a little rocky to get down to the beach area.
There is a side for the people who paid for the pig show and a side for the beach only people.
The food was great.
Definitely recommend!

Beautiful Beach Day Escape - If you are looking for a local company that knows of a hidden gem then do this excursion. We opted for the beach day without swimming with the pigs. We just wanted a simple beach day to enjoy white sand and deep blue waters. And we were not disappointed! From the first interaction withTalli to our captains, Andrew,Chocolate Drop and Eagle Eye we were delighted! Every person treated you special! Chocolate drop gave us a guided tour on the way out that was phenomenal and then off we went to Rose Island. The ride there was about 35 minutes. This was a half day excursion for us! We will be back and would do this tour again and again!

Best beach day! - Great experience! We opted for the Rose Island trip that didn’t include snorkeling or swimming with the pigs but had a perfect beach experience. (And we did get to see the pigs). The boat ride was also fun, slowing down to see sites along the way. Captain Jojo was great and very friendly. The Sand Dollar bar right on the beach served drinks & food. Plenty of beach chairs and seating available. This was a best day ever experience for us!

Perfect beach day! - We were met right at the dock by a tour daddy guide. We were then directed to a large boat parked in the dock. A half hour ride on the boat to rose usland. The boat had plenty of seating and the crew members were great. We arrived to a small resort with plenty of loungers for sun bathing . The resort had bathrooms and a bar. It also offered a buffet which was not included in the price, although I can’t comment about the quality of food, as we didn’t eat there, but the brinks were great. We were then called by group color to swim with the pigs. We were provided with carrots to give to the pigs. It was such a different but fun day. We were back in plenty of time to make it back to the cruise terminal for sailing time!

Great experience. - Great excursion!! Private beach club away from crowds. Awesome boat ride and white sandy beaches. Didn’t pay to swim with pigs but was able to see them and take pictures. Highly recommend to go away from port and crowds. Only downfall was waiting for everyone that didn’t check in 30 minutes prior.

Great boat tour! - They took us to Rose Island where we had the beaches to ourselves & they also offered the swimming with the pigs. There is a cafe/bar right by the beach to order drinks & food. Boat tour on the way back they took us to see the turtles & also celebrity home tour. Staff was generous & had a great sense of humor. Would definitely recommend!

The Tourdaddy website made booking easy.
The wording for when and where to meet the boat was a little muddy. The price is very reasonable. This tour may be best for people on a cruise who seek a good time at a beach, more so if you want to see pigs.
They communicate well via text and WhatsApp.
Pre-boarding involved signing a release form and getting a Sand Dollar wristband.
The shuttle boat has bench seats and a canopy. It is fast enough. We did not catch much sea spray going or returning from the island. Some people might get chilled from the wind and spray combo.
If you board at Montagu Beach, you will be directed to a pink building in front of the docks. The docks are a busy zone. Fish and conch will be in the air. The pink building is a well-kept public restroom.
The half-hour trip to Rose Island is a tour in itself. The water and islands on the way are nice and varied.
Once off the boat, you have plenty of options.
The beach to the left has water that looks rockier on the bottom. The beach to the right of the pier is where the pigs perform. There are a couple of trampolines there, too. You will need a buddy to boost you up a ladder to have a bounce. The beach zone more to the right is where an attendant will get you on a kayak or paddleboard. There are spots to drop your goods and get in the water. The water is shallow and not so rocky. The light sand and BLUE water are pretty. It is so bright the water reflects off the bellies of the seagulls.
Snorkeling will allow you to see some fish.
Our time on a kayak allowed us to see fish in a frenzy in various spots. We could not get close enough to see what set them off.
We did not pay for the pig show. Plenty of people did. They sounded like they enjoyed it.
The beach bar area has ample seating outdoors and under a roof. There are covered couches, table/chairs and hammocks. The bar itself is spacious, the food service area is sufficient and there is a billiards table. If you want something to eat or drink, there will be something to your liking.
The restrooms are clean.
There is an observation deck to the right of the bar. We didn’t go there.
We arrived before 11. We were told that we would board at 1:20 and depart at 1:30.
Here is what we did:
Kayak
Swim/snorkel
Bar drinks and phone time. They have good WiFi.
Trampoline attempted, but could not get on them.
Swimming
We were ready to spend the final half hour in a hammock to dry off for the return trip.
We did not get hammock time.
There was a sudden announcement that we were departing at 12:45 - immediately - and all 10 am people had to board. We had to go early so we could see turtles and get cruise ship people back to their port. We said we were not on a cruise. Nope, everyone goes.
We got unhappy quick.
If they had to get cruise ship people back to port, why the detour?
The turtle spotting was a five-minute stop to see three or so turtles surface off the shore of another island.
We also zipped past Gilligan’s Island and some other spots of interest. What they were, I don’t know. I could not hear our host over the music.
We disembarked at Montagu, the only people not on a cruise.
We were not thrilled with how the tour ended. Our taxi driver said we should say something. TourDaddy asks to have people get in contact with them before leaving a negative review on a travel site. We contacted TourDaddy via WhatsApp. They offered us a second tour for free and we could board at the cruise port instead of Montagu. That would mean a low-cost jitney ride instead of a taxi ride.
That was a gracious offer.
We declined. We did almost all one can do at the resort. An hour-plus of travel to spend not quite three hours at a beach doing everything again didn’t make sense. There would be no guarantee that we would have to cut the visit short again, either.
The TourDaddy/Sand Dollar Rose Island tour is nice. It gives people on a cruise a good time at a beach. People who stay in Nassau may be spoiled by all the beaches a stone’s throw away.

Does Not Match the Listing - The app said our pick up location was at the Museum of Junkanoo at the cruise port. We waited there for 30 minutes. Finally Tour Daddy called and told us to go back into the cruise terminal, walk past our ship, and they were on the other end. We loaded the boat for our history tour while headed to the island. There is actually no tour where you hear about any history of the island. It is a 40 minute boat ride to the island. There are also no free alcoholic beverages served on the boat even though the listing says there will be. Once we arrived to the island, the workers seemed irritated that we were there. The male bar tender was extremely rude and seemed inconvenienced by our presence. Only one lady at the food line was kind and did not seem mad that we were there. The pigs are kept inside a fenced in lot beside the “beach” so it is smelly. The pigs are very hungry so watch your food because they will steal it. My kids did enjoy the water trampoline, but there is no slide even though one is pictured.

Rubbish if bad weather conditions - Absolutely rubbish tour. We did the beach day expecting to go on Paddle boards, water beds, all the other water activities that were advertised. Due to weather conditions no water activities were put out. We were not informed about this before getting on the boat. When we got to the island which was a 40 min boat ride away it was clear it was choppy and windy. Nothing to do except sit on a beach. The beach itself wasn’t big and completely run down.i mentioned this to Mia the Guest representative who asked us to speak to the manager. He refused to give us his name, he got very defensive when we complained and that we mentioned that we should have been told about the bad weather conditions before getting on the boat so that we could opt out.
He then started to say we could have the water activities put out (the waves were huge). I said I got why they were not out I just wish we were told before going to the island as it felt a complete waste of the day.
He got very shirty and then apparently told his lifeguard to put the activities out for us. The lifeguard refused. Mia and Jason who work there both agreed the conditions were too bad.
My husband put a bad review on their site and they responded and tried to say that we apparently told them we didn’t want to go out on the activities ourselves because of the conditions - which other guests apparently enjoyed - which is a complete lie. We have no right to respond either. They should inform guests on the event of bad weather as there is nothing to do there if waves are too high to use the activities. Beach is small and nothing to do Extremely disappointed and huge waste of money.
Photos show rubbishy day beds and condition and the beach with people doing the Swimming pig tour and that there is nothing in the water. No come back with your operator either.
