- Temple of Demeter - After purchasing your admission ticket at the entrance, you will stroll uphill through a stunning garden to reach Demeter’s Temple, one of Naxos’ most important ancient landmarks. Here, you can delve into the sanctuary’s history and enjoy some leisure time at the on-site museum. Please note, the Temple of Demeter is closed on Tuesdays and May 1st, offering additional free time in the villages of Chalki and Apiranthos instead.
- Damalas - In the quaint village of Damalas, Manolis will warmly welcome you to his traditional pottery workshop, where he will share the ancient secrets of his craft. Following this, you will visit the restored olive press museum to learn about the traditional olive oil production process.
- Chalkio - Proceed to Chalki, a historic commercial hub known for its exquisite Venetian architecture. You will have approximately 45 minutes of free time to explore independently. Be sure to visit the island’s oldest distillery, Vallindras, located in the heart of the village, as well as the elegant ceramic art galleries and charming shops offering souvenirs and local products.
- Apeiranthos - Then, take an extended break at the renowned village of Apiranthos, situated at the base of Fanari mountain. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Venetian Towers, marble-paved alleys, inviting tavernas, verandas, and traditional shops. Here, you will have free time for lunch, providing a wonderful opportunity to savor local dishes such as “rosto” and “kalogiros.”
- Apollonas Beach - Passing through Koronos village and the famous emery mines, you will arrive at Apollonas. Enjoy free time in this charming fishing village to take a quick swim and relax with a coffee or dessert by the seaside.
- Apollonas Kouros - Conclude your tour with a visit to the renowned “Kouros,” an unfinished marble statue measuring 11 meters, which has remained in its original location for over 2500 years!
