• Temple of Demeter - Our knowledgeable guide will provide information about the Temple of Demeter during the bus ride to the site. Upon arrival, you will pay the entrance fee (4€ per person, cash only) and, under the guidance of your escort, visit the temple followed by the museum. Note that the site is closed on Tuesdays; instead, you will visit Bazeos Tower, a former 16th-century monastery now serving as a cultural center (5€ per person entrance fee).
• Damalas - Accompanied by your guide, you will explore the heart of the village and visit a traditional olive press. Here, your guide will explain the historical olive oil production process, followed by a live demonstration at a traditional pottery workshop. You’ll also learn about the ‘sfouni’ or the ‘cup of justice.’
• Chalkio - This neoclassical village in Naxos offers a blend of class and art. From the bus stop, your guide will lead you to the historical center, showcasing village highlights such as the citron distillery (where you can sample citron liquor), the FISH & OLIVE gallery, and the PHOS gallery. You can also take photos in this picturesque village.
• Apeiranthos - Known as the marble village, Apeiranthos is unique. With your guide, you will walk to the square, see towers, and explore the marble-cobbled streets, arches, and various museums (Geological, Art, Folklore, and Natural History) on your own. Be careful not to get lost in the maze! Lunch breaks are scheduled here on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. On Saturdays and Tuesdays (during the ESSENCE FD TOUR), there is no lunch break, and the stop will last 45-50 minutes.
• Apollon - This is a relaxing stop at the northern edge of the island, where you can swim, enjoy coffee and dessert, or simply stroll through the picturesque village and take photos. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, a 90-minute lunch break by the seashore is included.
• Apollonas Kouros - This impressive statue from the Archaic period, measuring 10.5 meters, lies on the ground. Although there are 56 steps to climb to reach it, the effort is well worth it!
