- Church Of Annunciation - This grand basilica is traditionally believed to be located over the Virgin Mary’s home, where the Annunciation took place. It features remarkable architecture, diverse artistic gifts from various countries and communities, and the sacred Cave of Annunciation. But why does it appear so modern, and what lies beneath? How did Nazareth appear during Jesus’ time?
- St. Joseph’s Church - Traditionally recognized as the site of St. Joseph’s workshop, where he taught Jesus carpentry. But what did Jesus do during his years in Nazareth? What was this place previously, and why is there a Jewish mikveh in the crypt?
- Nazareth - The largest city in Galilee, where Christians and Muslims coexist. Explore the streets, the square, and the market. How about enjoying some coffee and sweets?
- Mary’s Well - The spring of Nazareth, where residents, including the Virgin Mary, collected water before the centralization of the water supply, served as a gathering place for the people of Nazareth. It is also a symbol of the city.
- Cana of Galilee - A small town that was once a central city during Jesus’ time, where Jesus performed his first miracle of turning water into wine. We’ll visit the spring of Cana, the water source, and the churches surrounding the traditional site of the first miracle on our journey from Nazareth to the Sea of Galilee.
- Magdala - Passing by Magdala, the remnants of the town on the Sea of Galilee where Jesus met Mary Magdalene, who was born there.
- Mount Of Beatitudes - The site of Jesus’ famous Sermon on the Mount. We’ll visit the church built by Italian master Antonio Barluzzi at its summit, then descend to Tabgha to see the Church of the Multiplication and the remains of a Byzantine church dedicated to the Sermon on the Mount.
- Church of the Multiplication - The traditional site where Jesus fed 5,000 people by multiplying five loaves of bread and two fish. We’ll explore the modern replica of the Byzantine church with an authentic fifth-century floor, featuring the renowned mosaic of Loaves and Fishes. But why is part of the floor black and white and part in color? And why are there only four loaves of bread in the famous mosaic?
- Capharnaum the Town of Jesus - Capernaum, known as the Town of Jesus, where he spent three years after leaving Nazareth, performed many miracles, walked on water, and met five of his twelve disciples. It was abandoned after a devastating earthquake in the eighth century. We’ll visit the White Synagogue built over the Synagogue of Jesus, the remains of Domus Ecclesia, the Byzantine Church built over St. Peter’s house, and the ultra-modern “suspended” church built above them. Why did St. Matthew work as a tax collector here? Why is the Synagogue near the Church, and why does it resemble a Roman building? And why is it the only white building here?
- Sea of Galilee - Israel’s largest lake, abundant with fresh water and fish, and the setting for many biblical stories, surrounded by Galilee, the Jordan Valley, and the Golan Heights. What do we observe around us? Is it entirely fresh? And why is it called Kinneret in Hebrew? Let’s touch the water!
- Yardenit - The Baptismal Site on the Jordan River. Experience the unique atmosphere, admire the natural colors. If you wish to be baptized here, you have the time and opportunity. If not, you can watch others and enjoy the surroundings. Try the local date products. But is this the actual site of Jesus’ baptism, and why are there two baptismal sites on the same river?
