Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - Sigiriya, also known as Sinhagiri, is an ancient rock fortress situated in the northern Matale District near Dambulla in Sri Lanka’s Central Province. This site of historical and archaeological importance is dominated by a towering rock column nearly 200 meters high.

SIGIRIYA

Minneriya National Park - Located in Sri Lanka’s North Central Province, Minneriya National Park was designated a national park on August 12, 1997, after being declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1938. The park was established to protect the Minneriya tank’s catchment area and the surrounding wildlife. The tank, built by King Mahasen in the third century AD, holds historical significance.

SIGIRIYA – DAMBULLA - KANDY

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Sri Dalada Maligawa, or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is a revered Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Situated in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, it houses the Buddha’s tooth relic. Historically, the relic has been pivotal in local politics, as it is believed that whoever possesses it holds the country’s governance. Kandy, the last capital of Sri Lankan kings, is a World Heritage Site largely due to this temple.

Kandy Lake Club - Cultural Dance Show - Sri Lanka, rich in culture and tradition, offers a vibrant and unique display of traditional dances through the Kandy cultural show. KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA - ELLA

Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden - Nuwara Eliya is renowned for its exceptional tea, thanks to its unique geo-climatic conditions. With altitudes over 6,000 feet, cool climates, and moderate rainfall, the region is ideal for tea cultivation. The area experiences two seasons, eastern and western, with varying climatic conditions across estates. The tea produced here is known for its light liqueur, made from the region’s distinctively small leaves.

Ramboda Waterfall - Ramboda Falls, a stunning 109-meter waterfall, is located in the Pussellawa area of Nuwara Eliya at the Ramboda Pass. Also known as Ramboda Ella or Puna Ella, the falls are formed by Puna Oya, a tributary of Kothmale Oya. It pairs with Dunsinane Falls, created by Pundalu Oya, to form a Y shape at the base.

ELLA - YALA

Nine Arches Bridge - The Nine Arch Bridge in Ella, part of the Demodara loop, spans 91 meters and stands 24 meters high. Its picturesque nine arches are set against a backdrop of dense jungle and agricultural land, with a thriving forest behind the railway and tea cultivation below.

Yala National Park - As the most visited and second-largest national park in Sri Lanka, Yala National Park consists of five blocks, two of which are open to the public, along with adjoining parks. The blocks have individual names, such as Ruhuna National Park (block 1) and Kumana National Park or ‘Yala East.’ Located in the southeast region, the park spans the Southern and Uva Provinces.

Rawana Falls - Named after the legendary King Ravana, Rawana Falls is linked to the famous Indian epic, the Ramayana. Legend has it that Ravana, the king of Sri Lanka, kidnapped Princess Sita and hid her in the caves behind the waterfall, now known as the Ravana Ella Cave. The kidnapping was said to be in revenge for Rama and his brother Laxmana slicing off the nose of Ravana’s sister.

YALA - GALLE - BENTOTA

Galle Fort - Situated on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast, the Bay of Galle was first built by the Portuguese in 1588 and extensively fortified by the Dutch from 1649 onwards. Galle’s historical significance dates back to Ptolemy’s world map of 125–150 AD, when it was a bustling port trading with Greece, Arab countries, China, and others. It is mentioned as a “port of call of the Levant” in the cosmography of Cosmas Indicopleustes.

BENTOTA

Madu Ganga Biodiversity Area - Together with the smaller Randombe Lake, connected by two narrow channels, the Madu Ganga wetland forms a complex coastal ecosystem. A boat ride offers fish therapy and a chance to observe the area’s rich biodiversity.

Sea Turtle Farm and Hatchery - Habaraduwa - The Turtle Care Centre at Kosgoda Beach is one of 18 turtle hatcheries along Sri Lanka’s southern coast. Established in 1981, the center is located in the South Western coastal village of Kosgoda and is popular for hosting all five species of turtles that nest in Sri Lanka, unlike many other hatcheries on the island.

BENTOTA - COLOMBO - AIRPORT

Arcade Independence Square - This monument marks the site of the formal ceremony for the start of self-rule, with the opening of the first parliament by HRH Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, on February 4, 1948. A statue of the first prime minister, Rt. Hon. Don Stephen Senanayake, “The Father of the Nation,” stands at the monument’s head. It served as the ceremonial assembly hall for the Senate and House of Representatives of Ceylon until the parliament moved to a new complex. Today, it hosts religious events and annual national day celebrations.

A mix of modern architecture and cultural essence, it is located on Beira Lake and was completed in the late 19th century. After Venerable Sri Sumangala, his chief pupil Devundera Sri Jinaratana Nayake Thera transformed the temple into an internationally recognized institute.
