Excellent, informative and interesting tour led by friendly and expert members of the Mi’qmaq community. - Fully recommend this tour which helped us better understand the Mi’qmaq traditions and culture. The guides for the day; Kayla, Hayley and Monica all made us feel very welcome and shared the knowledge and experiences of their community with us in a way that was interesting and engaging throughout. The smudging ceremony was a great start before heading outside to learn about the ways that the natural world are utilised for healing and medicine by elders and to see how traditional wigwams are made. The guides were so friendly and knowledgeable and the q and a at the end with beautiful Luski bread was a lovely end to the tour. Everyone should go on this tour and learn about the Mi’qmaq culture and how they enrich our understanding of community, love and medicine. Thanks so much for a great experience.

Inspiring, educational, and FUN - Kayla and Monica were so welcoming. Their knowledge of the MicMaw culture and their passion for sharing their knowledge is amazing and inspiring😊. (Monica’s bannock-chef’s kiss 😘) when I left I felt that we made a small step forward on the TRC path. I highly recommend this tour! Also-beautiful artworks and crafts in the shop.

Experience insight and connection - The tour was a really transformative experience and I am so grateful for the opportunity to connect to the wonderful traditions of the Mi'kmaq through our knowledgeable and engaging guides. Every part of the tour was strong, from the smudging ceremony which felt like a powerful and warm welcome, to the forest walk where there was a lot of learning about the social, environmental and cultural heritage, to the closing session where there was opportunity to further connect with our hosts.

Take the tour, you will not regret it! - This was such a wonderful learning experience for myself and my partner. Kayla and Sharona were very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting and spiritual. It was an honour for us to be included in their smudging ceremony. So many beautiful things in the gift shop from local and other indigenous artists. I would suggest this tour to anyone wanting to learn more about our indigenous neighbours.

The Flow - Very nice Q and A, But hosts need to be better at presenting the topics during the tour. The ritual at the beginning was a very nice way to start.
