Highlights include the White Tiger, Gaur, Jaguar, Rhinoceros, Elephants, Brow-antlered Deer (Sangai), Lion-tailed Macaque, and various migratory birds. Each animal is housed in an environment that closely mimics its natural habitat. Upon entry, visitors can find several battery-operated open-roof trolleys, each accommodating up to six people, available for hire at a reasonable cost (at the visitor’s expense). A walking tour through the wildlife enclosures offers scenic and picturesque views. Zoo caretakers ensure the park remains clean, with well-maintained waterways, pathways, and regularly trimmed grass.
- Purana Qila - Following the zoo tour, guests will visit the nearby “Old Fort” (“Purana Qila”), renowned for its ancient origins. The fort’s grand wooden doorways greet visitors with pride. Within the fort’s lush greenery, visitors will discover vast relics and ruins, many dating back to 1000 B.C. The tour concludes with a return to the hotel in Delhi, leaving guests with wonderful memories.

Probably the best place to watch majestic WHITE tigers from a closer distance, the National Zoological Park in Delhi homes more than 20,000 different species of birds and animals. Marshlands were especially made for the birds while massive individual open moat enclosures are available for each animal. Endangered species of animals like the White Bengal Tiger are kept in separate enclosures with massive cages among vast landscaped areas. Other animals include the African Wild Buffaloes, Asiatic Lions, Chimpanzees, Hippopotamuses, Elephants, Spider Monkeys, Cockatoos, Cranes, Emu, Kites, Painted Storks, Parakeets and the recent addition which include a pair of South American Jaguars, a pair of Grey Australian Kangaroos and three Red Lechwe African Antelopes.
