New Delhi - Arrival - Pickup - Overnight in Delhi.

Enjoy some free time to adjust to the new time zone and take advantage of the hotel’s amenities. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure or relaxing. If you arrive early and wish to explore, consider a short half-day Delhi tour or a visit to the Akshardham Temple. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Delhi City Tour - Overnight in Delhi.

New Delhi - At 9 AM, after breakfast, meet your guide to begin sightseeing in India’s capital. Delhi is a blend of the old and the modern. Today, explore the following sites:

Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - Begin with Jama Masjid, the congregational mosque of Old Delhi, commissioned by the fifth Mughal ruler, Shah Jahan, a noted patron of Islamic architecture, best known for the Taj Mahal.

Red Fort - Drive around the Red Fort from the outside, as 70% of the building is occupied by the Indian Army. Capture some photos from the outside.

Raj Ghat - A simple square platform of black marble on the Yamuna River’s banks marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, now a memorial.

India Gate - India Gate is a 140-foot high gateway, reminiscent of the Arc-de-Triomphe, constructed as a War Memorial in honor of the 70,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who died during the First World War.

Parliament House - Stop to take photos of the Parliament House, designed by British architects Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker. It is one of New Delhi’s most impressive buildings.

Rashtrapati Bhavan - Stop to photograph the official residence of the President of India, known as Rashtrapati Bhavan. Few official residences of Heads of State worldwide match its size, vastness, and magnificence.

Humayun’s Tomb - A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is the first garden tomb in India, built by Humayun’s wife after his death.

Qutub Minar - Finally, visit Qutub Minar, a world heritage site. The tall minaret was constructed in 1192 by Qutub-ud-din Aibak and later completed by his successor Iltutmish. The soaring conical tower is a fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture.

New Delhi - After the tour, return to your hotel. Overnight in Delhi.

Delhi - Agra - Tour - Overnight in Agra.

New Delhi - After breakfast, drive to Agra, home of the magnificent Taj Mahal.

Agra - Upon arrival in Agra, check into your pre-booked hotel. After freshening up and resting, meet your guide and visit:

Agra Fort - Visit Agra Fort, an architectural masterpiece and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D, this massive fort, also known as Lal Qila (Red Fort) or Qila-i-Akbari, symbolizes Agra and is often referred to as a walled city. Made of red sandstone, it was once the Mughal residence.

Mehtab Bagh - Mehtab Bagh, meaning “Moonlight Garden,” is a historic Mughal-era garden on the Yamuna River’s banks, directly opposite the Taj Mahal. Emperor Shah Jahan identified this site for its beautiful view of the Taj Mahal at sunset.

Agra - After the tour, return to your hotel. Overnight in Agra.

Agra - Ranthambore - Overnight in Ranthambore.

Agra - At 5:45 AM, meet your guide in the hotel lobby to visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise. The Taj Mahal is stunning at sunrise, overlooking the Yamuna River.

Taj Mahal - The Taj Mahal at sunrise displays various hues throughout the day. At sunrise, it takes on a pink shade. The superb craftsmanship and structural design captivate all visitors.

Agra - After visiting the Taj Mahal at sunrise, return to the hotel to freshen up and have breakfast. After breakfast, check out and drive to Ranthambore, with an en route visit to Fatehpur Sikri.

Fatehpur Sikri - Built in the 16th century by Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great, Fatehpur Sikri served as the capital of his vast empire and was mysteriously abandoned after 15 years due to water scarcity.

Sawai Madhopur - After the Fatehpur Sikri tour, drive to Ranthambore, a prime example of a Tiger Reserve in India. Arrive in Ranthambore and check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free for relaxation and enjoyment. Overnight in Ranthambore.

2 Safaris in Ranthambore - Overnight in Ranthambore.

Sawai Madhopur - Between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM, get picked up for the morning safari.

Ranthambore Tiger Reserve - Morning Safari:

5:30 AM – Wake up early and prepare for the morning safari.

6:00 AM - Morning Safari in Ranthambore National Park.

10:30 AM – Return to your hotel for breakfast and relaxation.

1:00 PM – Lunch at a local restaurant or your hotel.

Ranthambore - Jaipur - Overnight in Jaipur.

Sawai Madhopur - After breakfast, drive to Jaipur, the enchanting Pink City, a symphony of history and culture. Its majestic forts, vibrant bazaars, and exquisite cuisine create an unforgettable tapestry of tradition and grandeur.

Jaipur - Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Rest and relax for a while. In the late afternoon, meet your guide and explore.

Monkey Temple - Galta Ji, or the Monkey Temple, is a sacred pilgrimage site known for its natural spring-fed water tanks and large monkey population. Nestled in the Aravalli Hills, it offers spiritual serenity and stunning views.

Birla Mandir Temple - The Birla Mandir in Jaipur is a stunning white marble temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Located at the base of Moti Dungri Hill, it features intricate carvings and a serene atmosphere.

Jaipur - After the tour, return to the hotel. Overnight in Jaipur.

Jaipur Tour - Overnight in Jaipur.

Jaipur - After breakfast, meet your guide and begin sightseeing in Jaipur, the pink city of Rajasthan.

Jaipur - Visit Jaipur Fort - This magnificent fort is an ethereal example of Rajput architecture, rising from a rocky mountainside, and is the city’s must-see sight. It comprises an extensive palace complex, built from sandstone and white marble.

Jal Mahal - Photo Stop at Jal Mahal (Water Palace) - beautifully built in the watery expanse of Man Sagar, and is like a dream palace.

City Palace of Jaipur - The residence of the royal family is right in the center of the Old City. A complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings. It is a striking blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.

Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - Photo Stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - Jaipur’s distinctive landmark is an extraordinary pink-painted delicately honeycombed hive that rises a dizzying five stories. It was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh to enable ladies of the royal household to watch the life and processions of the city.

Jantar Mantar - Jaipur - Jantar Mantar Observatory (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is a collection of curving geometric buildings that are carefully calibrated to monitor the movement of the stars and planets.

Jaipur - After the tour, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Jaipur - Delhi - Departure - Tour Ends

Jaipur - After breakfast, you will be driven to Jaipur Airport or back to Delhi (approximately five hours).

Best India experience - Our experience with joyful India was 10/10. Sonia was great with communication and provided very clear instructions every step of the way. She was always quick to reply to any questions. Rampal, our driver was was fantastic. He was polite, respectful, drove safely and always put our needs first. He was also great company on the long drives. The local tour guides were also very informative and it was nice to also see their perspective with life in India, especially the woman guides. It was lovely having woman guides, with us being 2 female travellers. Our male guide was also also great. Overall I’d highly recommend this tour. It has made our experience in India even better!

Wonderful tour experience - We had a wonderful experience on our India tour. Our driver, Rampal, was excellent – safe, reliable, and very accommodating throughout the trip. The tour operators were also extremely responsive and helpful, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. We especially loved that almost all of our local tour guides were women, which made the experience even more special and inspiring. Everything was well organised, and we felt well taken care of at every step. Overall, a fantastic experience that exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!

Amazing Tour in Incredible India with Parveen - We recently completed the Golden Triangle tour in India (Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur) with Joyful Tours by Sonia, and it was such a memorable experience. Our driver, Parveen, was simply outstanding. He went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, adjusting the itinerary whenever needed. Even small things—like when I mentioned wanting to visit a café with a view of the Taj Mahal, or stopping by places I casually pointed out—he made happen without hesitation. His cheerful, can-do attitude and great sense of humour really added to the trip, and we’re so glad we had him with us. He was always patient, whether it was waiting for us while shopping or giving us extra time for photos. At one point, he even got a traffic fine because we stayed a bit longer than planned, yet he refused to let us pay for it—just one example of the kind of person he is. We always felt completely safe and well taken care of. The local guides in each city were also excellent—knowledgeable, professional, and great at explaining the history and details behind each site. Dilip in Agra, Bunty in Fatehpur Sikri, Rajush in Jaipur. Although we didn’t get to see the Ranthambore tigers due to heavy rains the week before, Sonia and her team informed us right away and offered alternatives. Thanks to their flexibility, we ended up seeing leopards instead, which was still a fantastic experience. Sonia’s communication and adaptability were truly impressive, and everything felt well coordinated from start to finish. I wholeheartedly recommend Sonia, Parveen and her team at Joyful Tours for anyone planning a trip to India—you’ll be in the best hands!

Unforgettable trip to India – Excellently organized and absolutely safe - We have just completed an unforgettable 8-day round trip through northern India and could not be happier with this experience. As two single women we felt completely safe, well looked after and warmly welcomed at all times. A big part of the reason this trip was so special is our fantastic driver Raju. From the first moment he picked us up at the airport to the end of the trip, he was always punctual, attentive, friendly and extremely accommodating. Not only is he a very safe and experienced driver, but he has also always taken care that we lack nothing. He supported us in checking into the hotels, answered all our questions, made sure we always had enough water with us, and even helped us with smaller errands or spontaneous stops. His commitment went far beyond the usual – we felt completely comfortable and safe. In each city we were accompanied by a different German-speaking guide. All were very competent, spoke excellent German and impressed with their extensive knowledge of the impressive monuments and the long history of India. They also informed us about the diverse culture and religion of the country. They also protected us from overly intrusive sellers and diligently took photos of us in the most beautiful places – perfect memories included. They were always eager to support us and fulfill our wishes immediately. The trip was superbly organized by Joyful Holidays, a women-run company that works with regional vendors and attaches particular importance to safety and comfort – especially for women traveling alone. Even before the trip, Sonia from Joyful Holidays was available for all questions, always answered quickly and helpfully and provided us with additional important information about the trip, Indian culture and practical tips. We can recommend Joyful Holidays from the bottom of our hearts – especially for single women or small groups of women. We would like to wholeheartedly thank all the wonderful guides and especially Raju, our driver, who have made this trip an unforgettable experience. Unforgettable India Journey – Exceptionally Well Organized and Safe - We recently completed an unforgettable 8-day private tour through Northern India and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. As two women traveling alone, we always felt completely safe, well cared for, and genuinely welcomed. A huge part of why this journey was so enjoyable is thanks to our amazing driver, Raju. From the moment he picked us up at the airport until the very end of the trip, he was always punctual, extremely attentive, kind, and courteous. Not only is he an excellent and cautious driver, but he also made every effort to ensure we were comfortable at all times. He supported us during hotel check-ins, answered any questions we had, ensured we always had enough drinking water, and even helped us with small errands and spontaneous activities along the way. His dedication went above and beyond, and we felt truly taken care of. In each city, we were accompanied by a local German-speaking guide. All of them were incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about their country’s rich history, and very informative about India’s diverse culture and religions. They made sure we felt safe, protected us from overly eager vendors, and were always ready to take beautiful photos of us at every scenic spot. Their warm and engaging manner made every tour special, and they were very responsive to our wishes. Fabulous - What a wonderful experience- Throughout our time in India we valued the professional driving of Rampal and in Amritsar Mandeep. We always felt safe and the support and guidance from all, but Rampal in particular who we spent most of our time with was so appreciated. The local guides were knowledgeable and welcoming, in particular Sandy in Amritsar and Alka in Agra were both excellent. Overall this trip was good value, we saw Tigers on both the afternoon and morning safaris and made so many wonderful memories. Highly recommended

A fantastic experience - Each place has been very interesting and we have so many photos. My favourite place was the Taj Mahal, somewhere I have dreamed of seeing for a long time, it didn’t disappoint. The people are very friendly and English is widely spoken The food has been very good throughout and it helps that your driver/guides know of good local restaurants if you don’t always want to eat at the hotel. It has also been interesting to see how people go about their daily lives.

Thank you Joyful holidays and Raju for a stress free well organised tour. From pick up at airport to end, 5star tour - From start to finish the communication's from Joyful Holidays have been outstanding, very useful info and messages almost every day making sure everything was going well. It has worked like clockwork, no hiccups at all. Our driver Raju has been excellent. The first few days saw thick fog and long drives, his driving was perfect. At no time were I or my wife concerned or worried. Raju looked after us so well, at every hotel he came in to make sure check in went smoothly, his recommendations for restaurants were great. The guides we had at each destination have also been very good, knowledgable and friendly. All the hotels have been of a good standard and the reception and service outstanding. All I can say is a big thank you to joyful tours for an excellent well thought out and faultlessly executed tour. I would highly recommend this company to anyone, I hope you are lucky enough to get Raju as your driver. Thank you Joyful holidays and Raju exceptional service.

India adventure - Our 7-day trip in India was perfectly organized by "Joyful Holidays". Its founder Ms. Sonia reacted quick and professionally to all our requests per e-mail. During the whole trip we enjoyed comfortable and safe driving by Mr. Raju on Toyota Rumion with precise timing. It was especially important in a very challenging and specific traffic. We visited Delhi, Agra, Jaipur und Ranthambore, had professional guides in every point who showed us the most interesting sightseeings, assisted in taking pictures, explained all details and answered all our questions. We thank the team of "Joyful Holidays" for the wonderful time we spent in India enjoying its culture, history and spirit.

Definitely recommend Joyful Holidays! - Brilliant tour, felt safe, well organised and covered everything we wanted to see. Will recommend this to anyone. I have taken two other tours via different companies in India and this was by far the best one I've been on. I was travelling with my mum and we are very glad we chose Joyful Holidays. Thank you very much Ms Sonia for all the organising and adjusting the tour for us and all your patience with my questions . Ms Sonia even made time to meet us in Delhi and it was so great to get a chance to find out more about her life story and even meet her family. Ms Sonia was always available to answer questions and we always knew what was happening with our day. The itinerary was great, timings worked out perfectly. Definitely recommend adding Dharamshala to your itinerary it was a highlight of our trip all the Budist monestries and mountains were breathtaking. Our tour guides were informative and helpful, specially enjoyed our tour by Mr Vikram in Dharamshala, would recommend more than one day there, we didn't realise how beautiful it is so only had one full day there. Mr Vijay in Agra was also very informative. Our drivers Mr Sharma and Mr Raju were great too! Thank you all for a brilliant trip! The only thing I'd recommend for anyone booking who wants to see a bit more is looking at the itinerary and asking Ms Sonia for any other sights you may want to see in advance to work out if the timings will work or not.
