The Qutub Minar, also spelled as Qutub Minar, is a minaret that is part of the Qutub complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Mehrauli area of Delhi, India. Qutub Minar is a 73-meter tall tapering tower of five stories, with a 14.3-meter base diameter, reducing to 2.7 meters at the top.
Lotus Temple - Designed for peaceful worship, Delhi’s stunning Lotus Temple offers a rare oasis of calm in the bustling city. It is shaped like a lotus flower, with 27 delicate-looking white-marble petals. The temple was created to unite different faiths; visitors are welcome to pray or meditate silently according to their own beliefs. Note: The Lotus Temple is closed every Monday. If today is Monday, you can alternatively visit Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, a magnificent white-marble gurdwara (Sikh temple).
India Gate - India Gate is a war memorial located near the Rajpath. It is dedicated to the soldiers of British India who died in the wars. The India Gate, although a war memorial, evokes an architectural style.
Parliament House - Parliament House, also known as the Sansad Bhavan, consists of the two houses/assemblies of India, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The shape of the building is based on The Ashoka Chakra (circular) and is surrounded by lush green gardens and sandstone railings. We will drive past this place.
Rashtrapati Bhavan - Rashtrapati Bhavan is the official residence of the President of India. The Presidential Estate also includes vast presidential gardens, large open spaces, residences for bodyguards and staff, stables, and other offices.
Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - The Masjid e Jahan Numa, commonly known as the Jama Masjid of Delhi, is one of the largest mosques in India.
Chandni Chowk - The Masjid-i Jehan-Numa, commonly known as the Jama Masjid of Delhi, is one of the largest mosques in India. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1650 and 1656 and inaugurated by its first Imam, Syed Abdul Ghafoor Shah Bukhari. After a rickshaw ride through the old Delhi market, a walk through Asia’s largest market will be memorable.
Raj Ghat - Raj Ghat is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi in Delhi, India. Originally, it was the name of a historic ghat of Old Delhi. Close to it, and east of Daryaganj, was the Raj Ghat Gate of the walled city, opening at Raj Ghat to the west bank of the Yamuna River. Later, the memorial area was also called Raj Ghat. After sightseeing in Delhi, return to the hotel and rest.
Delhi to Agra via Akshardham Temple
Akshardham - After breakfast, you will begin your journey towards Agra by road. Akshardham or Swaminarayan Akshardham complex is a Hindu temple and a spiritual-cultural campus in Delhi, India. Also referred to as Akshardham Temple or Swaminarayan Akshardham, the complex showcases millennia of traditional Hindu and Indian culture, spirituality, and architecture.
Yamuna Expressway - After breakfast, proceed to Agra. Upon arrival in Agra, check in at the hotel.
Taj Mahal View Point - Taj Mahal Sunset View Point is one of the best locations to view the beauty of the Taj Mahal across the river, away from the crowd, during sunset. After sightseeing, return to the hotel and rest.
Agra - Chand Baori (Stepwell) - Jaipur
Taj Mahal - At sunrise, visit the Taj Mahal (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) - widely considered the most beautiful building in the world. Built by Shah Jahan as a memorial for his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth to their 14th child in 1631. The magical allure of the Taj Mahal will undoubtedly be the highlight of your tour. After the visit, return to your hotel to enjoy breakfast, then check out.
Agra Fort - After breakfast, check out of your hotel and visit Agra Fort, a historical fort in the city of Agra, India. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. Before being captured by the British, the last Indian rulers to occupy it were the Marathas. After visiting Agra Fort, proceed to Jaipur, stopping at the Stepwell along the way.
Chand Baori (Stepwell) - Chand Baori is a stepwell located in the village of Abhaneri in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is said to be named after a local ruler called Raja Chanda. However, no epigraphic evidence has been found regarding the construction of the Chand Baori or the adjoining Harshat Mata Temple. Based on similarities in style and carvings with the terraced temples of Paranagar and Mandore, the Baodi can be dated to the 8th-9th century. It was likely constructed before the temple. The Chand Baori is one of the few stepwells that has “two classical periods of water building in a single setting,” according to Morna Livingston in Steps to Water: The Ancient Stepwells of India. The palace and the lake around it were renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber. The palace and the scenic beauty of the lake attract various tourists.
City Palace of Jaipur - The City Palace was established at the same time as the city of Jaipur, by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who moved his court to Jaipur from Amber in 1727. Jaipur is the present-day capital of the state of Rajasthan, and until 1949, the City Palace was the ceremonial and administrative seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur.
Jantar Mantar - Jaipur - Jantar Mantar is a UNESCO World Heritage site built in 1734. It is a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur. The instruments allow the observation of astronomical positions with the naked eye.
Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - Hawa Mahal, also known as The Palace of Winds, is made with red and pink sandstones, which makes it stand out from the surroundings. The architecture of the Mahal attracts numerous tourists. The palace is a five-story pyramidal-shaped monument and was built by Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799.
