Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - Jama Masjid is the main mosque in Delhi, where the city’s Muslims traditionally gather for communal Friday prayers. The mosque, whose name means “Friday mosque” in Arabic, is located near the Red Fort, another of Shah Jahān’s architectural masterpieces.
Chandni Chowk - Chandni Chowk is synonymous with Old Delhi. Located in the northeastern part of Delhi, it is the oldest and most important wholesale market. Here, one can find everything from wedding attire and jewelry to decorative lights, cameras, and spices.
Raj Ghat - Raj Ghat in Delhi is a peaceful and elegant memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. Reflecting Gandhi’s simple yet powerful leadership, the memorial is also simple in design. Situated on the banks of the River Yamuna, Raj Ghat marks the site of his cremation following his assassination. The area also includes the cremation sites, or samadhis, of several other notable leaders in the country.
India Gate - India Gate is one of the largest war memorials in India. Every Republic Day, the Prime Minister visits to pay tribute to the Amar Jawan Jyoti, after which the Republic Day parade begins. India Gate is also a popular site for civil society protests.
Humayun’s Tomb - Built in 1570, this tomb holds cultural significance as the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the Taj Mahal’s construction.
Qutub Minar - Qutbu’d-Din Aibak laid the foundation of the Minar in AD 1199 for the mu’azzin (crier) to call for prayer, raising the first storey. His successor and son-in-law, Shamsu’d-Din Iltutmish (AD 1211-36), added three more storeys.
Drive to Agra
Agra - After breakfast and checking out around 9 AM, drive to Agra, which takes about 3 hours. Upon arrival, check into the hotel, rest, and enjoy some leisure time. In the evening, visit Etimad-Ud-Daulah (Baby Taj) and Mehtab Bagh (Sunset Point) to admire the backdrop view of the Taj Mahal over the Yamuna River at sunset and capture beautiful moments with your camera.
Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah - Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb is the first in India built entirely of white marble. The tomb is renowned for its exquisite pietra dura (stone inlay) decoration, featuring cypresses, wine glasses, and a stunning array of geometric arabesques. The jali screens set in arched recesses are magnificent.
Mehtab Bagh - Mehtab Bagh is a charbagh complex in Agra, North India. Located north of the Taj Mahal complex and Agra Fort on the opposite side of the Yamuna River, the garden complex is square-shaped, measuring about 300 by 300 meters, and perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal on the opposite bank.
Agra Sightseeing Tour and Drive to Jaipur
Taj Mahal - At 6:30 AM, or earlier in summer, the driver and guide will pick you up from the hotel. Visit the Taj Mahal to witness its breathtaking view at sunrise and capture memories with your camera. Return to the hotel afterward.
Agra Fort - After breakfast and checking out, visit Agra Fort. Then, continue the drive to Jaipur, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri along the way. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check into the hotel and stay overnight.
Fatehpur Sikri - Fatehpur Sikri is a small city in northern India, just west of Agra, founded by a 16th-century Mughal emperor. Red sandstone buildings cluster at its center. The Buland Darwaza gate serves as the entrance to the Jama Masjid mosque. Nearby is the marble Tomb of Salim Chishti. The Diwan-E-Khas hall features a carved central pillar. Jodha Bai’s Palace is a blend of Hindu and Mughal styles, next to the 5-story Panch Mahal that overlooks the site.
Jaipur Sightseeing and Drive back to Delhi, Departure.
Jaipur - After breakfast and checking out around 8 AM, explore Jaipur city. Visit Jal Mahal and Hawa Mahal, both photography spots as entrance is prohibited. Then, visit City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Patrika Gate. After lunch and sightseeing, drive back to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi around 8 PM-9 PM and proceed to the hotel or airport for departure.
Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - The Hawa Mahal is a palace in Jaipur, India. Built from red and pink sandstone, it is located on the edge of the City Palace, Jaipur, and extends to the Zenana, or women’s chambers.
Jal Mahal - Jal Mahal is a palace situated in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, India. Originally constructed around 1699, the building and the surrounding lake were renovated and enlarged in the early 18th century.
City Palace of Jaipur - The City Palace, Jaipur is a royal residence and former administrative headquarters of the rulers of the Jaipur State in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Construction began soon after the city of Jaipur was established under Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who moved his court to Jaipur from Amber in 1727.
Jantar Mantar - Jaipur - The Jantar Mantar, Jaipur is a collection of 19 astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh, the founder of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Completed in 1734, it features the world’s largest stone sundial and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located near City Palace and Hawa Mahal.
