Unforgettable trip! - I just spent five days on the Golden Triangle Tour organised by Mr Raj of Travel India One Day. It was an unforgettable experience and I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone wishing to visit India! Mr Raj did an excellent job of attending to my needs, even getting me a sim card to ensure I could communicate with my driver. My driver Mr Sanjay was excellent, never losing his good humour despite the challenges of navigating extremely busy city roads. I should add that his car was large and comfortable and well-stocked with bottled water. I will never forget his many kindnesses. Everything was included in the trip, from admission fees to various historical sites to accomodation and breakfasts at the hotels I was staying at; I was able to focus on enjoying my trip. The hotels were outstanding, particularly the food. In Jaipur, the bathroom was larger than my apartment at home! The staff in each of the hotels were invariably friendly, helpful and eager to please. In each city I was accompanied by a learned tour guide, who explained the history of each site; I am a professional historian who has spent the last ten years working at universities across Europe, and I was more than satisfied by the knowledge of my guides (all of the guides were outstanding). Mr Raj is a very good communicator and let me know my itinerary well in advance. I am very grateful to my driver Mr Sanjay and to each of the tour guides for showing me such a wonderful time!

Excellent Service / Tour / Private Guide! - Raj organised a seamless trip for us around the Golden Triangle at Namaste Hostel. He was incredibly helpful, providing various options for both train travel and private drivers, and even took the stress out of the process by booking our onward trains to Varanasi and Rishikesh. Our driver and guide, Bampy, was also excellent. He is a very smooth driver, making us feel safe throughout the entire journey. He also provided fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and additional hidden gems along the route. Overall, a brilliant experience with Travel India One Day—thank you!"

Top! - The experience was truly very positive. My driver, Arjun, was fantastic — he drives extremely well and very safely, even in the chaotic city traffic. I always felt comfortable and secure. He also took me to many less touristy places, allowing me to discover a more authentic side of the destination. Thanks to him, I had the chance to eat delicious traditional food, and his recommendations were always spot on. I highly recommend this experience, especially if you are lucky enough to have Arjun as your driver

- Great experience! Mr. Raj planned out everything out for us and followed up every step while we were on the road. The hotels given were top class heritage properties. Shri. Dinesh Chauhan was our driver and he was like constant familiar company, soothing and relaxing us in unknown territory. He planned and really took care of our every need. Overall a great experience if u want to experience Indian heritage cities.

Provides assurance of organising the trip for you, but be aware of the hard sell and tourist traps! - As first time visitors to India (couple with an 11 year old) we wanted the security of having everything organised, with an outline itinerary of ‘must dos’ along with a visit to a tailor to have some mens suits made. We accepted that we may pay a bit more than organising it ourselves. We stayed at Nameste Hotel Hindustan. Don’t be put off by the location around the hotel. It is a very nice hotel, good location, clean and attentive staff. Raj at Travel India One Day organised our itinerary and was helpful, responding to messages and providing reassurance before we arrived. A bit disappointed that the hotel tried to charge for our airport transfers despite them being included in the fee we paid. Our allocated driver for our visit, Sanjay was a good driver, courteous, nice man supplying water and cokes for the duration. We visited Agra, Jaipur and Delhi sightseeing, many locations. The guide, Ali who we had in Jaipur was useless. We regularly use guides, but he was uninterested, scruffy, didn’t seem to know a lot and basically spent a lot of time on his phone and even failed to take us to the Stepping Well in Jaipur. The tour guide in Agra for our visit to Taj Mahal was also late, plus wasn’t very attentive initially, but did get better during the visit and took lots of great photos for us. The tour guide for Delhi, Afzal was better, knowledgeable and attentive. So much that we requested him for another day, which Raj did arrange for us. India is an amazing place. We had an excellent time. It is very surreal, busy and lots of traffic. The one thing that did shock us, was the amount of individuals approaching you in the street to direct you to set shopping places, aka ‘tourist traps’. They obviously get a kick back for doing so. What did annoy us, whereby we will ensure we arrange our own tour next time, was the driver, Sanjay and each guide taking us to ‘tourist traps’ which they insist on, whereby you get the very hard sell to buy goods at very inflated prices. This eats into your time and is uncomfortable when you decline to buy from them, as their tone changes very notably from being nice to very ignorant and bordering on aggressive. Would I recommend Travel One Day in India? If you want it organised and it’s your first time, then maybe. But ensure you don’t fall for the spiel and pressure from the drivers and guides to take you to the tourist traps. Just decline. You will get ripped off if you buy!

Too much hard sell - I don’t usually write Tripadvisor reviews but Travel India One Day were VERY insistant so here we go. We had a 6 day trip booked with Raj of Travel India One Day based at the Nameste Hindustan hotel. We are a British couple with an 11 year old child. First time in India. The Nameste Hindustan hotel is fine; nice attentive staff, clean room and good location (although you have to walk to the hotel due to no car access) We had a driver, Sanjay, for our time driving to Jaipur, Agra and around Delhi. Sanjay was a good driver and I generally felt safe and happy with his driving skills. The car was always clean and was comfortable. We were provided with water and cokes. Our first tour guide in Jaipur was dreadful. His name was Ali and he was literally the worst tour guide I’ve ever experienced; uninterested, scruffy and dirty looking, more interested in being on his phone, left us to wander around sites ourselves whilst he sat on his phone, lacking in knowledge, repeating 4 times the few morsels of information he did give us. The worst was he didn’t take us to a major site, completely missing out the stepping well from our tour, we didn’t realise this until the tour was over. We were taken to two tourist trap selling places and Ali tried to stop me looking at shops I was interested in, trying instead to force me to the shops of his friends. Sanjay also took us to hard sell factories/shops, some of the proprietors of which turned hostile once they realised we weren’t buying. Not a nice experience and towards the end of the week we declined all other selling stops. Sanjay also took us to eat in more expensive restaurants where he was obviously getting a pay off. In Agra our guide was late, left us alone, not sure what was going on and stressed at the entrance queue to the Taj Mahal, he was standing instead chatting to his friends. Once inside he was more attentive and friendly and took very good photos. our Delhi guide, Alzar, was very knowledgeable and friendly and we requested him again on our second Delhi sightseeing day. Overall I loved Delhi and using Travel India One Day was useful and reassuring as first time visitors to Delhi/India, however I would recommend people to resist the hard sells from the drivers and guides. These hard sell stops pressure you to spend money but more importantly take away precious time from discovering and exploring this amazing place. I hope this helps.
