Arrival in Delhi

New Delhi - Upon arrival at IGIA (Indira Gandhi International Airport), a warm welcome awaits. You will be transferred by private bus or taxi to your hotel in New Delhi, or a connecting flight to Chandigarh will be arranged for an overnight stay.

Delhi/Chandigarh to Shimla

Shimla - After breakfast, check out and fly to Chandigarh. From there, a private vehicle will take you to Shimla, nestled in the foothills of the Pir Panjal Range in the inner Himalayan Region. Enjoy lunch en route. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a hotel.

Shimla - Narkanda - Rampur

Narkanda - Travel along a scenic, tree-lined road to Narkanda (2500m) through a pine forest, passing by villages to join the main road.

Rampur - Khab Sangam - Nako

Nako Lake - Embark on your second day’s ride. Navigate narrow, winding roads carved from the rocks amidst a stunning mountain backdrop to reach Khab Sangam, from where the ascent to Nako begins.

Nako - Tabo - Dhankar - Kaza

Tabo Monastery - Established in 996 CE by Tibetan scholar Rinchen Zangpo under the Guge Kingdom, Tabo Monastery is India’s oldest continuously operating Buddhist monastery. Often referred to as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas,” it boasts exquisite, well-preserved murals, frescoes, and sculptures from the 10th-17th centuries. It serves as a vital center for Tibetan Buddhism and cultural exchange, featuring an assembly hall, nine chapels, and ancient monastic caves, showcasing a unique blend of Indian and Tibetan art.

Kunzum Pass - The journey takes you through several villages in the Spiti Valley. A short uphill ride leads to Kunzum La (pass at 4700m), offering expansive views of snow-capped mountains. The terrain from Losar village to Gramphu over Kunzum La is an off-road paradise for motorcyclists. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a guest house.

Khardung La - Today, conquer the mighty Khardung La, the world’s highest motorable road at an impressive 5359m, just 39 km from Leh. Enjoy the fantastic, surreal sceneries and landscapes guiding you to the top. Upon returning to Leh, the afternoon is free for a market visit or a stroll to the enchanting Shanti Stupa, offering a captivating view of Leh. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a hotel.

Leh to Pangong Lake (Chang La Pass)

Pangong Tso - Ride over Chang La (or Chang La Pass), a very high, motorable mountain pass in Ladakh, India, renowned as the gateway to Pangong Lake. Known for its snowy peaks, rugged Himalayan views, thin air, and a small temple dedicated to Changla Baba, it is situated at over 5,300 meters (around 17,500 ft). It’s a challenging but scenic route for travelers exploring Ladakh, offering stark beauty and a taste of high-altitude adventure. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at camps on the banks of Pangong Lake.
