Excellent trip! - We took the drive from New Delhi, which is a 5 hr ride. Our driver was Mr. Rajkumar and guide was Mr. Kiran C. The driver was excellent and we felt very safe the entire time (10-12 hrs of driving). Guide did an excellent job navigating all the sights and helping us avoid all the local tourist traps. Rishikesh and Ganga River were the highlights of the trip for us and must visit locations. The evening prayers in Haridwar were nice too, although it gets crowded and commercial. It gets cold over there (even in March), please bring some warm clothes (or like me, but a Cashmere sweater there, made in Nepal, for $30!). Recommended!
