ARRIVAL IN DELHI

New Delhi - In the afternoon, enjoy a combined city tour of Old & New Delhi, visiting Raj Ghat, the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, the Red Fort built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, Jama Masjid, and Chandni Chowk, a vibrant shopping bazaar. Visit Laxmi Narayan Temple, dedicated to the goddess of prosperity, India Gate, a 42-meter high war memorial, and Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India. Agra - After breakfast, depart for Agra by road. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Jaipur - In the afternoon, visit the City Palace, a former royal residence blending Rajasthani and Mughal styles, and Jantar Mantar, the largest of five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. Known as Banaras by the British, the city is mentioned in the epics Mahabharata and Ramayana. It was a thriving trade center when Buddha delivered his first sermon in nearby Sarnath in 500 BC. Mark Twain famously described Banaras as “older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend.” Varanasi has long been a symbol of Hindu renaissance, preserving rituals and traditions.
