• Gurudwara Bangla Sahib - Begin by visiting Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a Sikh Temple located in the heart of the capital city. It is one of the most important and sacred Sikh shrines. The temple is recognizable by its golden dome and tall flagpole. The grounds include the Gurudwara, a kitchen, a large (holy) pond, and an art gallery. As with all Sikh Gurudwaras, the concept of Langar (Community Kitchen) is practiced, and all people, regardless of race or religion, may eat in the Gurudwara kitchen (langar hall). The food is prepared by gursikhs who work there and by volunteers who wish to help. Visitors are requested to cover their heads and remove their shoes. Anyone can volunteer at the Gurudwara.
