After a brief refreshment, the tour will begin with a visit to the Taj Mahal, the iconic symbol of love. This magnificent white marble structure, located on the banks of the Yamuna River, took 22 years to complete and is a testament to a man’s love for his beloved. The cenotaph’s interiors are beautifully adorned with inlaid semi-precious stones. After lunch, the tour continues to Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar, with contributions from subsequent Mughal generations. The fort includes palaces such as Akbari Mahal, Khas Mahal, Jahangiri Mahal, Diwan-i-Am, and Diwan-i-Khas. If time allows, guests can visit the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, also known as the Baby Taj. This exquisite monument was designed and built by Noor Jahan in memory of her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, and took six years to complete. It is also considered an inspiration for the Taj Mahal. The private tour guide will share stories about the lives of the Mughal rulers. If time permits, guests can explore some local bazaars in Agra before being driven back to Delhi in the same car.
