• Battell Chapel - The tour begins outside the chapel, where participants will learn about its history and Elihu Yale, the namesake of Yale University. From there, the tour proceeds to the Old Campus, offering a guided walk through New Haven.
• Yale Old Campus - The tour continues to Old Campus, the oldest section of Yale. Participants will discover its founding, motto, and learn about Nathan Hale, a revolutionary hero and Yale alumnus, while viewing his statue.
• Owl Shop Cigar Lounge - The Owl is a historic venue in New Haven frequented by many legendary actors. Participants will hear about these figures and the lounge’s rich history.
• Louis’ Lunch - Known for inventing the hamburger in the 1800s, Louis’ Lunch is steeped in tradition and stories in New Haven. Participants will learn about its history, tales, and its motto for Yale students.
• Yale University Art Gallery - The tour narrates the story of the art gallery, which offers free entry. Visitors can admire renowned artworks, including Van Gogh’s Night Cafe and Edward Hopper’s Rooms by the Sea, two of the world’s most iconic paintings.
• Skull and Bones - Yale is home to numerous secret societies, the most famous being Skull and Bones, which includes influential families like the Bushes. Participants will hear about its founding, history, and the legend of Geronimo’s skull.
• Harkness Tower - The tour pauses outside this historic building, where participants will learn about Yale’s influential alumni and their immense wealth, with some giving back to the community.
• Toad’s Place - A hub of rock and roll history, participants will hear stories of legendary performances by artists such as U2, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Radiohead, and Bob Dylan.
• Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library - This remarkable library houses some of the world’s oldest books and offers free admission. Participants will hear about the Gutenberg press books and the library’s history.
• Grove St Cemetery - The tour concludes outside the cemetery, where participants will see the sign “The dead shall be raised” and learn about the notable individuals interred there.
