Tabasco Factory Pilgrimage was a success - Enjoyed the self-guided tour of the facility. It was easy to follow and interesting for all members of the family. As an enthusiast, I especially enjoyed the opportunity to sample Tabasco offerings in the store and buy them.

Great Bayou Culture Experience - We brought our granddaughters to experience a little south Louisiana, near where I grew up. A great walk through history, culture and beautiful bayou land. Ate at the restaurant DON’T pass up the crab cakes and étouffée!

Fun for the whole family - Such a fun experience with lots to see. They have a great gift shop and tasting area, the cafe was reasonably priced with tasty food and the jungle gardens were a beautiful adventure. The whole family had a great time and can't stop talking about it. I highly recommend this experience!

Great experience - The tour through sauce making was very informative and exciting. The shop with the possibility to try all different sauces was great and we bought some of them, of course! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the restaurant had absolutely delicious food. The garden is beautiful and pretty landscaped. A definitely recommended excursion!

Peaceful and beautiful even though there wasn’t any flowers - We enjoyed the tours. The gardens were nice but nothing was in bloom. Will go back in spring and walk the gardens instead of driving through.

Great piece of American Business History - Decided to do a little side trip when in LA to tour the Tabsco factory. My grandfather was a huge fan and both my family and my husband's have long used that little bottle of hot sauce with the green cap. We purchased tickets in advance, which allowed us access to the tour at any time that day. We arrived around 12:15pm and decided to do lunch at their restaurant first. Lots to choose from - we had the "1/2 & 1/2" crawfish special (etouffee topped with fried crawfish tails), a bowl of gumbo (no seafood) and the shrimp po-boy, plus an order of the boudin eggrolls. The eggrolls were served with their Tabasco brand jelly for dipping and the table had a caddy with every one of the hot sauces they make. Made for a fun lunch to try each one! Next, we stopped at the ticket booth to pick up our stickers to show we were paid - they gave us each a tiny bottle of original Tabasco and a map of the grounds. There are 8 buildings and by the end, you'll have a good understanding of the families that created the brand, the area the factory is in, the people who made/make it all possible and the products themselves, plus competitor's attempts to copy them. You'll see a museum, a greenhouse where peppers are growing, a short video on how they create the mash, a warehouse where mash is aging, the mixing room (don't miss the little button that lets you smell the products in the tanks), the bottling line (which was running the Friday we were there, despite online saying it would not be), a recreation of a salt cave, the restaurant and the gift shop. Even if you don't plan to buy any sauce, be sure to stop at the gift shop! At the very back, they'll have samples of all of the sauces, plus a few other fun treats (a Tabasco spiced Coca Cola and Tabasco ice cream when we were there). There are sauces here that you can't buy anywhere else, including their family reserve, that is aged 8 years instead of 3. We spent two hours, including lunch, so it can be a quick trip or you can take your time. NOTE: we only did the Tabasco factory tour - skipped the Jungle Gardens - it was just too hot!

Nice tour, a bit out of the way but worth it - Interesting but short factory tour. Fortunately, I was there on a bottling day. Rest of the tour is OK except for the barrel warehouse, that's a lot of Tabasco. Jungle Gardens are nice to look at nature however it was the middle of the day and HOT so no animals were seen except a couple of water birds.
