• Walnut Canyon Nature Trail - This easy, paved trail is less than half a mile round trip and leads to a viewpoint overlooking Walnut Canyon. While not a strenuous hike, it offers a pleasant view.
• Carlsbad Caverns National Park Visitor Center - This is the location to pay for park entrance and purchase additional tours. Visitors can explore exhibits, enjoy a meal in the cafeteria (open 8am-4pm), and shop for souvenirs in the gift shop. Additionally, this is where access to the cave is available, either by elevator or via the trail to the natural entrance.
