Parking is a mess,... - Parking is a mess, honestly that was the worst part. The ehhibits were awesome. Staff was awesome. By far my favorite zoo so far. The only zoo I've been to so far that my kids didn't get bored, they only got hungry. Plenty of food and plenty of family fun.

This Zoo keeps getting better and better…. - This Zoo is constantly getting better, first visit in 1986. The walking paths are flowing nicely from one exhibit to another, lots of shade and play areas for kids. Easy access to view the animals. I’ve been to a lot of Zoos - this one is still my favorite.

Great zoo—perfect size - We spent 4 days in NOLA in March 2026. Each kid (17f, 15f, 13m) got to plan a day. This was an activity that 13m chose. This was a great zoo—lots to see and do. Since we went on a weds afternoon, we almost had the place to ourselves. There were different areas (Africa, primates, swamp, Asia). The animals looked well cared for and we enjoyed spending a couple of hours here.

Good experience, but needs some renovation - We had a great time at the zoo! We just wish they would update some of the older exhibits and replace the ones not in use ie, the Komodo dragon.

The best option to avoid... - The best option to avoid a long line is to buy a ticket online. It is helpful to rent a stroller, since the park is so spacious. The Zoo cafe stopped taking orders around 1 pm, so that was a negative because we were not able to eat lunch. The gumbo trail restaurant also stopped taking orders, so we left the park to eat. We packed small snacks, but planned to eat there. It would have been great if the train was available, but it was not.

It was nice - I really enjoyed my time there, but I think for how small the Zoo is and for not having that many animals in each cage (a lot of them only had 1 animal), the tickets should be cheaper. But it’s definitely not a bad place to visit.

Please get all of the animals fresh running water at your zoo. Audubon do better. - Some of the animals habitats and enclosures had running water, which is super important when living in a swamp. But many did not that was upsetting to my mom, dad and me. Since it’s the Audubon Zoo, I appreciate the conservation efforts but was disappointed in the standing, scummy water that too many animals had. A lot of the animals seemed to be hiding in the heat. The animals I did see seemed alright. The big gorilla was not happy to be there and I was surprised at how small that enclosure was. There were a number of broken and uneven planks on the board walk. I tripped over one and thankfully caught my balance after flying forward. I was close to face planting. I’m grateful I didn’t. 😅

No Food Concessions Available March13. - No food concessions. This is a lack of management and organization. The Audubon Zoo is a major NOLA attraction. Hopefully this problem will be resolved as soon as possible. No comments are necessary from Zoo management.
