Garden District - Yvonne, our guide, was passionate about this section of New Orleans. She gave us a fantastic talk on the history of New Orleans while showing us some of the most beautiful homes in the Garden District.

Informative and Enjoyable Experience with a Great Guide - Had a great experience walking the Garden District for a couple of hours with our guide Lesley. She was a font of information and delivered it in a lively and charming manner, with plenty of opportunities for interaction. Her experience as a tour guide shone through; a true professional. We appreciated the logistics as well: starting and finishing at two coffee shops. Group size was small; approximately 12 people. Tour length was a little over 2 hours. Priced at fair value. TIP: from the French Quarter and downtown, the St. Charles streetcar line will stop very close to the starting point. This is obviously a popular route; the downtown stop at Carondelet and Canal may increase your chances of getting a seat going into the District. Depending on time of day, be prepared to stand going back.

Great small group tour of the Garden District - We wanted to tour through the beautiful Garden District so booked with James. He was so funny and warm but, more importantly, informative. He explained the history of the city’s development and demographics. The neighborhood is lovely and full of fabulous architectural eye candy. Highly recommend!

Garden District Walking Tour - Walking tour of the Garden District was great. Our guide was very informative and told us about the history of the district as well as many of the houses we walked past. We ended the tour at the cemetery, which is closed, but he explained the burial process, which is the same now as it was in the past. Many of the sidewalks are very uneven due to oak tree roots and are trip hazards. Be sure to wear shoes that are appropriate.

Walking tour of Garden District - James did a great job with a good sense of humor. He brought extra umbrellas for us since it was raining. We enjoyed the tour.

Nice Walking Tour - Wear your walking shoes and be ready for a lot of fact sharing. More history about the District than architectural info.
