Isabelle was excellent! - Excellent tour. Cajun encounters unfortunately cancelled our Whitney plantation tour 1 hour before we were due to leave. Luckily Isabelle saved the day and took us on an excellent tour with great information on the way there and back! Thanks again.

Thanks to our ancestors - The bus was on time, clean, cool and comfortable! The driver was EXTREMELY POLITE, WELCOMING AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT NUMEROUS THINGS! The Laura plantation in my opinion was better. The weather was extremely hot, I thank GOD for our ancestors. They definitely paved a way for all of us in 2025!

highly recommended for travelers interested in plantation history - Isabelle introduced landmarks and historical settings along the New Orleans road on her way to the plantation. Upon arrival, we were given a quick tour of several nearby plantations and took photographs, including Evergreen and Oak Alley. The 90-minute tour at Laura offers not only beautiful architecture, but also a comprehensive history of the Laura family and slave families. Whitney's visit is more skewed towards the perspective of the enslaved, with the introduction to the slave uprisings and memorial sculptures strikingly confronting the brutal historical truth.

Laura and Whitney Plantations - Robert was our driver and tour guide, he did an amazing job giving us a an overview of what we were going to see and expect before arriving to the plantations. At the Laura plantation our guide Renee was fantastic! Super knowledgeable as she explained both sides of the story, the owners and the slaves. We also appreciated all the recommendations that Robert provided on our way back to city. We really recommend this tour

Robert was our tour guide... - Robert was our tour guide and he was fantastic! During the trip he gave us some history about the city and an overview of the Plantations we were visiting. Our guide at the Laura Plantation was Renee and she was super knowledgeable and did an amazing job with everything she told us. The Whitney Plantation was also great! We didn’t have a guided tour but the self audio is very descriptive and informative. We are super pleased that we booked Tours with Isabelle, definitely will be using them again, and recommend them to everyone that want a tour for a small group.

Don’t hesitate to book with this company - This tour was top notch and a cut above the rest. Isabelle was very communicative and accommodating in helping me get booked for this tour, and explaining to me the different tours and options. My tour guide, Robert, was phenomenal. The ride there and back was not only safe and comfortable, it was filled with lots of history in the region. Robert was dynamic and hospitable. I was also picked up at my doorstep promptly. I would attend another tour with Isabelle again without a second thought.

A day to remember - Just the right balance between the two centres to cover the history and the personal enslaved stories. Very moving and good to do one of the tours on our own and one with guide. Our leader Robert got the tone just right , local info plus reflection.

Friendly guide and informative tour - The tour guide Giselle was friendly and informative. She picked me up promptly from my hotel and explained what we saw on the way to the plantations. We had a tour guide in Laura Plantation that did a nice job explaining the lives of the plantation owners and what life would be like for the enslaved. That tour took about an hour. We headed to Whitney and had an audio guide. I also enjoyed that and going at my own pace. This stop was my favorite, though it was sobering as it was focused on the lives of the slaves instead of the plantation owners. I also appreciated that Giselle took time to drive past Oak Alley plantation and also a beautiful grove of oak trees. Thanks!
