A Factual Face of Plantation Life - Great Service from the Owner - So... it's a long drive out to the plantations and having a friendly, knowledgeable guide like Kin was a blessing. Outside of the bounds of these locations are a million stories (and several gators) we were delighted to hear. I'd recommend Kin for a trip anytime. This was a fantastic way for a bunch of friends to spend time together. The location is well thought out and very much a candid history we appreciated.

Excellent Half Day Tour - We are extremely happy with the Whitney Plantation half day tour. We traveled to New Orleans for the first time and the professionalism of the tour operator Kin was top notch. Pickup and drop off was flawless. We will be returning to New Orleans in December for the holiday festivities and will book with K's Luxury Transportation and Tour company again.

A perfect day on the plantation route with visit of Withney Plantation an swamp tour - Perfect organised tour, taking the scenic old plantation route one way. Kindrell tells us really a lot about everthing on our plantation tour, but also other useful things, where to eat in NOLA, which cementary to visit ecc. The minivan was very comfortable and we were a small, individuel group of nine persons. That day it was possible to pick up everybody from his hotel/b&b. Thanks a lot for that. Good communication the days before. We had a guided tour of Withney plantation but we had also the possibility to take a look to Oak Alley plantation because we took a coffee/snack there (great to be here as well!). After, it was possible for me to book a swamp tour short-term on site. In the car Kin has water for us and shows us a short film about plantations. Beside of being very professional and flexible Kindrell is very sympathic, too. Kin thanks a lot for this very interesting and lovely day, Astrid, Germany

Very Insightful - We were fortunate that Cheryl, a descendant of Whitney plantation slaves, was our guide today. Thank you, Cheryl, for your knowledgeable insights into plantation life and its repercussions that are still experienced today.

Whitney - The Reality of History - Kindrell offered up lots of interesting facts as we drove from the city out to the plantation. He even went the extra mile to ensure two late-bookers also got included in our guided tour group. he also showed great flexibility in returning us to the city, sometimes in different locations from where we had been picked up (to accommodate the curious tourists). The guided tour is a definite must. Our tour guide was well-informed, and the 90 minutes we spent with her could have easily been 190 minutes she was that good. I like the fact that Whitney focuses mainly on the history of the slave trade, the lives of the plantation slaves, and their contributions to the daily operations of the plantation. I thought it interesting that the mansion has no trappings of opulence. As our guide intimated, the mansion is depicted as what the settlers would have started with, not what they attained / amassed over time. Oak Alley may be the 'star' of the plantations, but if you want more of a reality check into history, then Whitney is the plantation you want to visit.

Outstanding tour - A ++++ from start to finish, I would 100% recommed, excellent communication, we felt in safe hands, very comfortable trip up to the plantation, given nice cool bottles of water, driver very friendly and helpful thanks for the tips about the local resturants. I would deffo recommed the guided tour over the self directed if you want the full experience the tour guide was exceptional, after driver took use to another plantation so we could get lunch which was much appreciated we also had some time to check the gift shop there got some delicious pickles at oak alley. Comfortable trip back home driver provided addition information about the other plantations in the area. When im back to new orleans im booking you again !! Thanks you for a wonderful day. The whitney plantation is a must when you visit new orleans.

Pick this tour! - What an amazing place. Uncomfortable but compelling stories focused on the enslaved people rather than the enslavers. Kin is a wonderful tour operator with all kinds of entertaining stories about New Orleans. Even though his is a new company, he has many years of experience with one of the big companies so you are in good hands. And bonus for this tour is that he makes sure you get the guided tour instead of the self-guided. 100% recommended.

10/10 amazing - Kindrell was an amazing guide and would recommend to anyone who is looking to go on this tour. He is thorough with the pick up times (precise, keeps you in the loop, arrives on time) and provides insightful information about the history of New Orleans and Louisiana when in the bus. Without question this is a must! Christian from the UK

Best way to travel to sights close to NOLA - This was the best way to get to the Whitney for our docent led tour. Kin was so knowledgeable and shared interesting history and information about New Orleans, while riding in complete comfort. Kin’s expertise and kindness greatly enhanced our experience. We learned so much! Highly recommend.
