A must see for all ages! - As a history buff this was a must visit attraction in New Orleans. Just off Lee Circle ( some call it Harmony, but never by historians) it is very accessible from the street car line. Allow a lot of time to visit because of the huge campus, there are a lot of volunteers to help you maneuver to several buildings. After visiting, first comment was "I need to bring my son back to experience this!" It is almost too much to take in on one visit.

WWII Nerd - We love the history of WWII. This museum brought this history to life, especially in the battle in the forest. It made it seem like we were in the middle of the fight.

Powerful Museum - Remarkable. Truly the only word that comes to mind. It is so important to remember history and this museum does a remarkable job of presenting that history and never letting us forget it.

Give yourself enough time visiting - We were told one day wouldn't be enough and that is an understatement! Wish we had time to go back (it costs $ 15 for second day admission that can be used up to 7 days past your first visit). We took our time, listened to the videos and personal accounts. For context, we got there around 10:45AM and stayed until 5PM closing (we didn't stop for lunch) and there was still a lot we wanted to see.

Relive the World's Largest Military Conflict - Military history can be fascinating, and no military conflict is greater and more deserving of our attention and education than World War II. Tourists can learn all about this conflict, and America’s involvement in the war, at the National World War 2 Museum, located in New Orleans’ Central Business District. I went to the National WWII Museum on a Saturday while in New Orleans and it was easily one of the top museums I have ever visited. Your journey begins with a visit to a makeshift train where you are introduced to a person who fought in the war. As you tour the museum, you are given countless opportunities to learn more about the individual you are introduced to on the train, using your dog tag ID. The personal interaction described above is one of many memorable aspects of the National WWII Museum, but it is far from the only one. This world- class museum offers videos for viewing and engaging exhibits that introduce you and/or refresh your memory on the most important personalities in the war, both on the enemy side and the allied side. The museum takes you from Europe to Japan and beyond, walking you through the past from the German invasion of Poland and the early days of the war, all the way to Hitler’s suicide and the termination of the world’s largest and deadliest conflict. The National WWII Museum is a large museum, and you can easily spend several hours here and still not take in all the exhibits and educational material. You need to set aside a large amount of time to visit and soak up all the history and knowledge. History buffs will enjoy it the most, but even those with just a small interest in history will like what they see, hear, and learn. It will be an emotional visit for some, especially those who have a friend or family member who fought in the war. I like visiting museums. The National WWII Museum is one of the very best, and a visit is a must the next time you’re in New Orleans. As I walked through the museum, there were a few points where I was a little unsure if I was going to the correct place, if I skipped an exhibit, if I was following things the correct way so as not to miss anything, etc. A little more certainty in the layout and pathway to follow would be good, but that is about the only issue I had with the National WWII Museum. It’s an excellent history refresher and easily worth taking the time to visit.

WWII Museum - This Museum is one of the best Museums I have ever been to. 7 buildings with multiple floors in each, there is SO much information and things to see. You definitely need at least a full day to see everything. Highly recommend!

A cautionary tale of history that is beautifully curated - Wonderful museum that takes you through the entire war. The trials and the tribulations. Bring good walking shoes and be prepared for a lot of people. The main criticism is that the handout map is not very good but there are volunteers to help guide the way if you get lost. Everyone should have to go through this museum to understand the mistakes of the past that are mirrored in our present

Very well done - Great museum. So much information. A little difficult to maneuver between areas. Only negative is parking. We had a van and were able to park in regular lot. I don't know where RVs park.

Improved museum map - The museum was HUGE and confusing. Very informative and I loved all the history it offered but there needs to be a better map guiding you through the museum.
