I’ve served more pub crawls, by far, than any guide in New Orleans. This provides me preferential, or exclusive, access to select venues that will help aid the tour’s narrative and propel our exploration of New Orleans’ cocktail/ghost history. This tour pays for itself, once you know the places I sip. Between bars, we walk to haunted/historical…

Small, intimate, historical and ENTERTAINING - Max amount of people: 17, compared to others who have 28. Theatrical flair with historical significance (can cite sources). Best storyteller!

Wonderful tour - Our tour guide was wonderful. Great storyteller and kept the tour super fun and interesting. We love the smaller group feel too and we had lots of opportunities to meet new people. The alcohol and the stories that goes with them are cherry on top.

Spooky, Boozy, and Fun! - We did the cocktail and ghost tour as a group of nine for my bachelorette party. John was so fun and knowledgeable. He gave us great historical background for the stories, citing multiple sources while still keeping things light and entertaining. The cocktails were great and we loved the context behind their popularity. It was a great experience that I’d recommend to anyone looking to explore New Orleans, learn a bit more about its history, and lean into the spooky vibes with a drink in hand.

John and the amazing tour - Having the right tour guide is critical to the tour and John was amazing. Me and my wife would do more tours with him. He was engaging, knowledgeable and ensured that everyone was involved with the tour. As we walked around he pointed out areas of interest and discussed the details of each place we visited. Details such as the compass on the ceiling of the first place we toured to the rectangular plaque the shows the place was identified as having paranormal activity. He interacted with the group in a way that the group of individuals interacted with each other during and after the tour. If you want to do a tour through New Orleans, John is the person I would highly recommend.

10 out of 10, do not miss this tour - Wow, what an incredible experience. John is brilliantly knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely funny. He shared so much insight into the culture, cocktails, history, and of course the ghost stories that make New Orleans so special. We absolutely loved this tour. It was not only entertaining but truly valuable. It deepened our appreciation for the city in a way we did not expect. I would recommend this to anyone visiting New Orleans, whether it is your first time or your hundredth. You will walk away having learned something new and with an even greater love for this beautiful, one of a kind city. 10 out of 10, do not miss this tour.

Not what we’d hoped for - It wasn’t what we were expecting. It was a nice walk. The host was knowledgeable, but not personable. He asked everyone to let him know what we’d like to hear more about (history, ghosts, etc.) but when I asked about ghost stories in Pirate Alley, I was dismissed. I don’t he really wanted to hear any questions. He made me feel like I didn’t understand what ghost stories were (yes, that dismissive). I know there had to have been some really cool, historical haunting a to share about Pirate Alley, but oh well! A couple stories he shared were interesting, and told with great theatrics.
