A Great Way to Learn About the History of New Orleans In General, Not Just Voodoo - The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans, in general. The tour went on far longer than the stated 2 hours, I think it exceeded 3, but even though there were 3 or 4 of us that have bad backs and trouble walking (1 lady was using a cane), we all stayed with our guide the entire time. He talked about New Orleans history, took us to a church because Catholicism has always been a huge influence in the city, took us to a cemetery, the Louis Armstrong park, as well as Marie Laveau's house (rebuilt after it burned down). He told us about how voodoo was brought here and how it came about and that it isn't about evil and curses. It was a very interesting tour.

Educational Voodoo Tour - This was a very informative and interesting tour exploring the history of New Orleans, slavery and the Voodoo religion and culture. Orion was an excellent guide providing a detailed history as well as some great recommendations around the city. We learned a lot! He was friendly and entertaining, integrating some movie references for all ages. He also indicated some possible bathroom stops along the tour, which was very helpful with kids.

Amuse-bouche - Funny, and the right start to get an introduction to New Orleans - or as our tour guide said, the most northern Caribbean Ciity.

Voodoo: Community, Culture, and Caring (not what you see in movies) - The Voodoo tour with Orion was amazing. As a historian, he shared so many great facts while also highlighting the folklore aspects of stories.  I love that Orion approaches this topic as a religious and cultural topic, explaining all of the ways that print and film have sensationalized voodoo and fabricated false content.  We explored spots in the French Quarter and sacred sites in Congo Square.  His tour was educational and thought-provoking.  If you are interested in learning about community and culture, rather than Hollywood portrayals of curses and dark magic, I highly recommend booking Orion's Voodoo tour.

Worst tour guide - The ‘guide’ DJ was so rude from the very start that my wife - who has been looking forward to this immensely- who was the recipient of the rudeness decided, felt if we continued with this man there would be assault charges.
