- Tian Tan Buddha (Big Buddha) - The Tian Tan Buddha, also known as the Big Buddha, ranks among the world’s largest seated bronze Buddha statues. It stands 34 meters tall and weighs over 250 metric tons.
Situated at Ngong Ping on Lantau Island, the statue was completed in 1993 and represents the harmonious relationship between humanity and nature, as well as people and faith. Visitors can ascend 268 steps to reach the Buddha, where they can admire breathtaking views of the surrounding area and explore the museum located beneath the statue.
