What’s near Hong Kong Airport? The Iconic Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island! - The Tian Tan Buddha (also known as the Big Buddha) is one of the largest outdoor bronze seated Buddhas in the world! Located at the peak of Ngong Ping on Lantau Island, the statue stands 34 meters tall. Its base is modeled after the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, which is why it’s called “Tian Tan Buddha.” 🌟 Highly Recommended: 1️⃣ Po Lin Monastery – a major Buddhist landmark 2️⃣ Ngong Ping Village – shops, snacks & cultural vibes 3️⃣ Wisdom Path – tranquil forest walk featuring ancient calligraphy 💰 Average cost: Moderate ⏰ Opening hours:  • Weekdays: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM  • Weekends/Public Holidays: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM 📍 Location: Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, Hong Kong 🚘🚇 How to get there: Take the MTR to Tung Chung Station, then hop on the Ngong Ping 360 cable car — enjoy panoramic views of the South China Sea and lush mountains on your way up! 🔎 Pro Tips: ⏮️ Walk slowly and take in the full grandeur of the Buddha as you ascend 👟 Wear comfy shoes — you’ll climb 268 steps to the top! 🚠 For thrill-seekers: Try the Crystal Cabin with a glass floor for a thrilling sky ride!

Rushed dolphins tour - After meeting guide at Tuen Chung station we set off for tai o fishing village, bus trip took us to beautiful green side of island. We walked into village on stilts for fish ball tasting! Shops limited but a couple souvenir sellers, then high light boarding boat to see pink dolphins! Well!!!!!! Disappointed doesn’t cover it!!!!! In far distance a couple tour boats were next to fishing boat apparently the dolphins were there!!!!!! Ideal overcast weather as they don’t like sun, we were so far away and stopped for 3 mins!!!! So no photos, I was so disappointed. Later the big Buddha was a slight reprieve and cable car return to station well worth doing if any one goes. But dolphins were what I wanted to see!!!!!!

Don’t do it! - This tour was a complete disappointment from start to finish. Despite paying a premium price, we ended up having to pay out of pocket for a train ride, only to find out that the included transportation was actually just public buses — not exactly what you expect from a paid tour. Everyone in our group was under the impression that lunch and a boat ride were included. Neither were. We also weren’t given the snack or bottle of water that were listed as part of the tour. To top it off, both the temple and Buddha we visited are free to access — so what exactly were we paying for? Certainly not the guide, because Grace was so chaotic that it actually became laughable. All in all, a total letdown. Poorly organized, misleading, and absolutely not worth the money. Avoid this tour at all costs

Lure, reasonable price but there are so many extra costs that it is still an expensive trip. - The tour guide Grace was really terrible! She was constantly speaking and it was all so unclear what exactly she was telling? Besides the trip we booked we had to pay for everything ourselves. Doesn't add up to anything they offer. In short... do not book this trip!!!
