- Wollman Rink - Located in the southern part of Central Park, Manhattan, New York City, Wollman Rink is a public ice rink named after the Wollman family, who funded its original construction. The rink is open for ice skating from late October to early April.
- Gapstow Bridge - With its rustic stone construction, much of it covered in vines, Gapstow Bridge blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. It spans the narrow neck of the Pond and is a popular spot for enjoying scenic views and photography. Featured in films like Home Alone, Jersey Girl, and King Kong.
- The Pond at Central Park - Surrounded by small lawns for sunbathing and picnicking, paths for strolling, and numerous benches, the Pond is a perfect place to relax. Rock outcrops and other spots along the shore offer views of the water and its resident waterfowl, including egrets, black-crowned night herons, and various ducks. The u-shaped water body wraps around the Hallett Nature Sanctuary, a wooded, rocky hill with rustic trails.
- Central Park Zoo - Situated at the southeast corner of Central Park in New York City, the Central Park Zoo spans 6.5 acres. It is part of an integrated system of four zoos and one aquarium managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society.
- The Dairy Visitor Center and Gift Shop - The Dairy, a Victorian cottage designed by Calvert Vaux and built between 1869 and 1871, is at the heart of the Children’s District. Originally, this charming structure provided fresh milk and snacks for children and their caregivers.
- Chess & Checkers House Visitor Center - Built in 1952, the Chess & Checkers House offers visitors of all ages a space to play games. Surrounding the octagonal brick structure are 24 game tables shaded by a wooden trellis.
- Balto Statue - A bronze statue of Balto by Frederick Roth is installed in Central Park, Manhattan, New York. Balto was an Alaskan husky and sled dog owned by musher and breeder Leonhard Seppala.
- Alice in Wonderland Statue - The Alice in Wonderland statue was a gift from philanthropist and publisher George Delacorte. He intended it as a gift to the children of the City and a memorial for his late wife Margarita (1891–1956), an enthusiastic linguist and reader who helped him establish his publishing empire. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was her favorite book to read to her children.
- Conservatory Water - The main feature is an ornamental pond, also known as the Model Boat Pond, where children and hobbyists launch and race miniature sailboats and yachts. These are stored and rented at the nearby Kerbs Boathouse, which also houses a cafe. The edges of the water, lined with benches, are popular spots for relaxing and watching boats and people. The area also attracts visitors to two significant statues: Alice in Wonderland, one of the most popular statues in the Park, and the monument to children’s book author Hans Christian Andersen. In winter, when the water freezes, the pond is open for ice skating.
- The Boathouse Outdoor Bar - With their 1858 landscaping plan underway, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux began adding architectural features to their Park design. Around 1874, Vaux designed a two-story boathouse at the eastern end of the Lake. Here, visitors could purchase refreshments and take boat rides. After the original wooden Victorian structure with a sloping mansard roof burned down, the current Boathouse was built in 1956. Today, Boathouse visitors can enjoy a meal in any season, with overhead heating extending the pleasure of dining on the deck overlooking the Lake.
- Bethesda Fountain - Bethesda Fountain is the central feature on the lower level of the terrace. The pool is centered by a fountain sculpture designed by Emma Stebbins in 1868 and unveiled in 1873. Also known as the Angel of the Waters, the statue refers to the biblical healing of a disabled man at Bethesda, a story from the Gospel of John about an angel blessing the Pool of Bethesda, giving it healing powers. It was the only statue funded by the city in the original park design. Stebbins was the first woman to receive a public commission for a major work of art in New York City.
- Bethesda Terrace - The Mintons encaustic tiles of the arcade ceiling were removed in the 1980s renovation because the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission deemed the tiles too costly to restore. Instead, the Commission approved a ceiling mural in its place. Mayor Ed Koch declared in June 1987 that the tiles would be restored. The tiles sat in storage for more than 20 years until the Conservancy received a private donation for their restoration. The Conservancy began restoring the tiles for $7 million in 2004, and the tiles were reinstalled in 2007. There are 14,000 such tiles; most are part of the original design.
- Bow Bridge - Designed by Calvert Vaux and Jacob Wrey Mould, Bow Bridge was completed in 1862. It was built by the Bronx-based iron foundry Janes, Kirtland & Co., the same company that constructed the dome of the U.S. Capitol Building. The bridge was restored in 1974 and closed again in November 2023 for a two-month renovation. Bow Bridge has appeared in movies and television shows such as Manhattan, The Way We Were, Spiderman 3, Highlander, Keeping the Faith, When in Rome, Made of Honor, Night at the Museum, Autumn in New York, Great Expectations, Uptown Girls, and Glee.
- Strawberry Fields - Strawberry Fields is a 2.5-acre landscaped section in New York City’s Central Park, designed by landscape architect Bruce Kelly, dedicated to the memory of former Beatles member John Lennon. It is named after the Beatles’ song “Strawberry Fields Forever,” written by Lennon.
