The most disappointing experience in the whole of my US trip! - At the time of booking this tour, I asked if the tour would also be available in English (alongside Spanish/bilingual), and was assured that the tour would in fact be ONLY in ENGLISH (see screenshot). However, as we were entering the bus, the guide (Lucas) told me that the tour was only in SPANISH. I told the guide that I booked a tour in English but he just shrugged and told me to board. I then immediately texted Interviajes and never received any response, until today. As it was my last free day in NYC and the US and it was already too late to cancel free of charge and/or make any alternative arrangement (all other similar tours depart around the same time), I had to follow along. I wouldn't have been upset had the guide acknowledged the company's wrongdoing and given me the same information in English on the side or during breaks/free time, but he made absolutely no efforts despite this being the company's fault. As someone who doesn't speak Spanish, I had to keep marking the sites on Google Maps as we travelled, so I could learn about them by myself later. The only times the guide spoke to me in English were before each break, to tell me what time to be back to the coach . I then wrote a complaint to Interviajes, and was blamed for not cancelling the tour right there and then. What a ridiculous response, considering THEY gave me wrong information in the first place, THEY failed to respond to my text that morning (or ever), and NOBODY advised me what my options were, not even the tour guide. So how could I know I had the option to cancel it on the spot? Per their own policy, any cancellation within 24 hours results to 100% penalty fee. After writing back and forth and receiving no positive response, unfortunately I had to write a review here so other travellers can be warned. PS: Another very disappointing aspect of the tour was the zero interaction we had with the Amish community when visiting their town. The guide seemed to be sharing all the information on the bus and every now and then pointed out if there was an Amish person in sight so everyone could take a picture of them FROM the bus. Yes, we visited a souvenir shop, but even then he did ALL the talking, instead of inviting a community member to talk about themselves. I felt as if we were bussed around in a safari trip (pardon my expression), as opposed to paying a respectful visit to a local community.
