Visit the Poe House, where the legendary writer of mystery and the macabre, Edgar Allan Poe, once resided, and listen to stories of his time in New York City.
Proceed to Washington Square Park, and learn about the park’s “Hanging Tree” and the historical events that led to its name. Once in the park, admire its marble arch and hear chilling tales of why this is considered one of the city’s most haunted public areas.
Next, head to the Brown Building, the site of the notorious Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. It is said that the victims of this tragedy still roam the building’s corridors today.
Walk up 5th Avenue to see the Church of the Ascension, rumored to be haunted by artist John Lafarge, before stopping at 14 West 10th Street, reputedly the most haunted residential address in Manhattan. This house is believed to host 22 different spirits and has been the scene of several murders.
Venture into the heart of the West Village, passing by the former home of American poet Emma Lazarus and one of New York’s most beautiful libraries.
Your next destination is 12 Gay Street, haunted by several spirits, including former New York City Mayor Jimmy Walker. Along the way, you’ll pass the Stonewall Inn and Sheridan Square, the site of the 1969 Stonewall Riots.
Cross Christopher Street to visit the historic piano bar known as Marie’s Crisis and Chumley’s, a legendary speakeasy that has recently reopened as a restaurant.
Your tour concludes at the Cherry Lane Theatre, Manhattan’s oldest Off-Broadway theater, which is home to a few actors who never left the stage after their passing.

Accompanied by a guide, you’ll visit some of the village’s most haunted locations, such as Washington Square Park and NYU’s Brown Building, and listen to stories of missing kids, spectral celebrities, and phantoms that dwell in the park.
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour’s designated start time. The tour departs promptly and no refunds will be given for guests who miss the tour due to being late
