This walking tour of MacDougal Street delves into the vibrant and renowned Greenwich Village, celebrated for its rich and diverse musical heritage. Discover the jazz scene in the Village, the American left bank, and the folk music of the 1950s and 1960s. Delight in delicious samples such as a classic bagel with schmear from Bagel Pub, Grandma pizza with garlic knots and tomato sauce, a Fay Da coconut or custard bun, traditional brigaderios, an espresso with biscotti, and finish with a custom cupcake from Molly’s.

Best Music & Food Tour Ever!! - My music and food loving parents were visiting me in NYC and this tour was absolutely perfect for everyone! Greg is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of NYC and all genres of music. We truly got the whole picture of music and food in Greenwich Village, complete with stops at pizzerias, music stores, coffee shops, and more, with lots of music to supplement the story and lots of interactive moments. On top of that, he’s an exceptionally fun and nice person and felt like we were with a celebrity since he kept bumping into friends throughout the tour! Would recommend this to literally anybody visiting or local to NYC :)

Fascinating tour of Greenwich village's rich musical history - Really enjoyed this tour of Greenwich village hosted by Greg. He provided fascinating insights into the rich musical history of the area. The food we took in along the way was delicious, especially some freshly made pizza.
Would highly recommend this tour for any avid music fan

Greg was fantastic! My... - Greg was fantastic! My boyfriend and I did the food and music tour, Greg was very informative about the history and music he was telling us about, and picked out some great food too. He is a very down-to-earth guy and is very passionate about what he does. We highly recommend!

It Happened Right Here - What a fascinating and educational tour with the a most lively and funny guide! Many “it happened right here” discussions. I had been by these places many times over the years and never knew the history. Greg brings photos and a small bluetooth speaker so that you can see and listen to stuff that he is talking about. Very worthwhile entertaining experience!

Super fun and interesting 🙌 - Thank you so much Greg for an amazing music and food tour. We loved all the quirky facts and musical references. The food stops were great and took us to places we wouldn’t have gone to if we didn’t go on the tour. Greg is a ball of energy and made the trip so fun from start to finish. He also is very knowledgeable about the area and all in all a 10/10 tour guide. A must do in NYC.

Greenwich inside out - Gorgeous, excellent, fantastic, or any positive and exquisite adjective to describe the afternoon spent with Greg. From NYC music historical places to typical eateries or coffee shops, Greg knows Greenwich like the back of his hand. It is worth the time and money to choose that guided visit.

Greg was very passionate about the Greenwich Village music scene and great special places to eat. - The music Greg share as we walked and listened to music. The Billy Holiday story and Bob Dylan and The Stonewall Inn.

Incredible introduction to Greenwhich Village - An incredibly interesting and enjoyable walking tour! Greg guided us to some captivating spots and shared fascinating anecdotes about music history. I especially loved the stories about artists from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. He took my girlfriend and me around Greenwich Village for about 2.5 hours, introducing us to fantastic restaurants and coffee shops along the way. Very tasty italian pastries, iconic NYC pizza, out of this world Cortado coffee!
I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because his devices (tablet, phone, bluetooth speaker) could have been better organized, making it easier for him to access the music and pictures he wanted to show us.
He also gave us great tips regarding the city in general. E.g. regarding transportation, what music clubs or pubs to visit.
