Must do tour of Village - What a wonderful experience! I did this tour once with a friend a few years ago and knew I needed to take my husband next time we came to NYC. Rob and Maks were fantastic, very personable. They were great storytellers, knowledgeable about the area and its history. We enjoyed the readings they performed from poets that lived in the Village. It was a 3 hour tour but went so fast, we never got bored or looked at the time. Now when I travel I look for Pub Crawls and have done a few, none are as good as this one.

The Village it once was - A truly inspiring and authentic stroll around the Village of poets, writers and Bohemians as it once was. Malka’s passionate energy an additional plus. Don’t miss the singalong!

Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon - Fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon! A good mix of socialization, history, and education. Learned some Manhattan history, pub history, and literary history all in one. Seems appropriate for a variety of ages and interests because everyone can lean into the area they are most interested in (e.g., pub crawl, history, poetry, literature, etc.). Tour guide was a wealth of information and fun.

Just the perfect way to explore Greenwich Village - The perfect way to explore Greenwich Village. I've now done this tour twice with different family members when they were visiting NYC and both times were simply great. Our guide was very personable, super knowledgeable and the pubs were steeped in literary history - would really recommend this.

Brilliant time - Such a good time. Beer and literature - what’s not to love? Malka was a fantastic guide! Funny and informative, and speaking from passion not just a script. Highly recommend!

Great experience! - Had an amazing experience with Malka, we learned a ton about the area, and she had an extremely welcoming vibe. I loved seeing each pub and learning about writers I knew and learning about plenty of writers I’ve never heard of. Clearly they are passionate about getting the facts right and you could feel how much passion and respect there was for the subject. Thank you!

Great Tour Guide! - Even though the weather was horrible (rainy and cold), which is obviously uncontrollable, I still had a great time with our tour guide, Tim. He’s very animated (but not too much) and engaging when telling stories about the authors, bars, and general history of the area. Hearing him talk was honestly the best part of the entire tour because it was just so cold I could hardly find anything else to enjoy (again, nothing anyone could control). It’s not too much walking and during the spring/fall I’m sure it would be a nice walk of the area. Some of the authors discussed were more on the obscure side, but that’s ok. It was fun to hear their interesting stories because in the end what makes all the difference is how the story is told. So highly recommend the tour, with Tim in particular, for the storytelling.

Wonderful tour! - The guides were wonderful, so knowledgeable and engaging. They quoted poetry and prose written by the writers whose places were described. Ask for Rebecca and Elizabeth. You won’t be disappointed!
