Great variety and amount of food. - Great tour. Our guide, Dave, was personable and professional (remembered everyone's name and where they were from.) Casual, but imparted deep and interesting historical facts. Highlight for me was beginning at Katz' for the best pastrami on earth. No disappointment with the rugelach, dumplings, pickles, bialy/bagel or doughnuts. I was stuffed by the end. Pro tip: Sit next to skinny people at Katz' and you'll get more pastrami than you really need. Pace was comfortable for an old (67) guy with a bad back. Timing was just perfect. Never felt rushed.

Menu Medley in Lower East Side - Amazing food tour mixed with history of the area! Amanda (our tour guide) was great - very knowledgeable about the area, the foods we were trying and the history of the restaurants, as well as being personable. Food options were varied - from pickles to donuts and more between - and we were full by the end of the tour (didn't eat breakfast beforehand, and didn't eat again until dinner). Would recommend this tour company and this tour to anyone we know!

This is a MUST for anybody that loves food and a lesson about the neighborhood - This was an amazing way to start off my Sunday Morning. The tour guide Dante Mercadante was nothing short of amazing. Very engaging with all the customers, was able to answer every question and best of all was able to deliver the best places the Lower East Side has to offer. Everything tasted great and amazing, the walk was just about right. The pace was perfect. This is an absolute best way to taste the best of the Lower East Side in a matter of 3 hours. I have learned a lot from this tour and I would recommend this tour to anyone that loves a great lesson and great food. I am so glad that there is also the Greenwich Village Tour and the Astoria Food Walking Tour

A great guide, and even better food! - We - a family of 4 (British - two adults, two teens) - loved this food tour. Dante is a really warm, engaging, friendly and very knowledgable guide. He knows so much about the Lower East Side and its food. Along with the excellent food, we got a sense of the social history behind the places we visited. It was a great selection of eateries, including the iconic Katz's Deli - but also other restaurants and shops less well-known to tourists, but beloved of New Yorkers. Our daughter is a pescatarian (does not eat meat) and yet was fully included on the tour, which is a big plus. The pastrami at Katz's will live long in the memory!
