This lab is novel and... - This lab is novel and creative, brimming with high-tech appeal. Kids especially adore it, losing track of time while having a blast inside.

Loved it - Really enjoyed our trip here , hard to describe but pretty amazing and so different to anything else we did in NY and a nice change after the emotions of seeing others parts of the area , bit magical really

First NYC Museum - This was my daughter and I first trip to NYC and attending a museum was definitely on our list. Glad we chose this interactive, modern museum. I felt it was a bit overpriced but maybe that's expected in the city. Great staff, fun room exhibits in a short amount of time.

A "museum" without thought or substance - Mercer Labs presents itself as an enticing museum of art and technology, and from the outside, it has all the looks of one. We walked in on a whim and, despite being taken aback by the very high ticket price, we went for it. That's when you realize: all is not as it seems. It's a museum without thought or substance. While there are exhibits - like the much-photographed ball pit or various disorienting projection rooms - what underpins them is without meaning, feeling, or intent. The main room, a large space with disorienting light projections, felt like a high-tech AI generated screensaver - visually busy but with no artistic statement. The entire experience is like a Marvel movie: a chaotic rollercoaster ride with a confusing story, only a Marvel movie gives you more runtime for your money and is more coherent. The experience is like walking into an establishment that presents itself as fine dining, only to find half a McDonald's inside. Yes, you might consume something, but you realize what you're being served isn't real food. This feels like going to an art museum that has no art. It's a remarkably short ride, too. Others have mentioned the dangers of the ballpit area; while we weren't hurt, we did see a woman fall and badly injure her wrist, requiring medical attention. If you are considering going here for a museum, don't. Feed your mind at the MoMa, the Natural History Museum, or the Guggenheim. Mercer Labs isn't just junk food for the mind - it's not even food, just the pretense of it.

Mercer labs museum of art - The experience wasn't that good in my eyes. Out of the several rooms I felt only 2 appealed to me and one of them could have been utilised better. Visually watching robots sculpting statues wasn't for me. It wasn't a good mix.

Probably only good to do... - Probably only good to do with kids. It was quick and not that entertaining. All the rooms were small and deceptively big online

Avoid absolutely rubbish - Not worth the money 3 floors and not many rooms to explore. It was absolutely rubbish cost me $120 for me and my teenage son. What a scam and a disappointment.

Enormous waste of money. Just - don't. - We are still laughing - and groaning - about how truly terrible this place was. They have this outstanding real estate in a prime spot in New York, and they're wasting it with fake flowers and spray-painted robots? In the photos on their website everything looks amazing. In real life it is just - ridiculous. There were multiple rooms, each one dumber than the one before. The only one that even slightly appealed to us was the "sound room", and all it really was was a padded room with real loud music. It seemed like it was intended to appeal to pre-teen anime fans, as there were some anime-like cartoons in various rooms, but they were characters I had never seen or heard of and were not particularly well done. The supposedly immersive rooms weren't THAT immersive, because there was always someone cleaning something - wiping down the mirrors, wiping down the floors - which eliminated any suspension of disbelief. There were robots that appeared to do nothing and robots that did things I've seen a million times before. There was loud music and flashing lights and a room full of plastic flower that was supposedly a tasting lab but to get a taste of anything you had to trop like $29 for a drink, and this was on top of the over$100+ fee we had already spent to get in. As my partner said when we left, "I want my money back. But even more, I want my TIME back.". There are dozens of fantastic museums in New York.. This is not one of them.

Avoid - Awful 😞, save your money and don't waste it on this. A few rooms of cartoons and some random robots. Very disjointed, very disappointed. Possibly the worst experience ever and it wasn't cheap

Save your money. Not worth it. - Save your money its not worth the $50 at all, i just came from the VIP tour at One world observatory and saw this outside so decided to go after, took less than 30 mins for the whole thing. Totally not worth it. I paid $113 for my friend and I. They should just copy the team labs in Tokyo which is so much better and cheaper too.
