The Best NYC Tour I’ve Ever Taken — Even as a Local - I’ve taken many tours in New York City over the years, but my 5-hour tour with Sheldon was hands-down the best experience I’ve ever had. It was five hours of some of the most fascinating, meaningful, and genuinely interesting facts I’ve ever heard about NYC. And that’s saying a lot, I’ve been a New Yorker for 23 years, and I was learning throughout the entire tour as was my friend who was born and raised here. I didn’t expect that at all. Sheldon’s storytelling brought history, context, and emotion together in a way that made me feel deeply connected to the city. I visited a brand new park I didn’t even know had opened, with absolutely breathtaking views. I learned details about the Battle of Brooklyn, discovered facts about the 9/11 Memorial that I didn’t know even after visiting it more than ten times, and heard the story of what was done with the dirt excavated from the holes where the original Twin Towers were built. By the end of the tour, I felt genuinely proud to be a New Yorker all over again. This wasn’t just a tour; it was an experience that deepened my love and appreciation for the city. It was informative, emotional, inspiring, and unforgettable. I will absolutely be making plans to spend more time with Sheldon on another tour. If you’re visiting NYC — or even if you live here — this is the kind of experience that changes how you see the city. Highly recommend.

The ONLY WAY too see NYC - Our private tour of NYC exceeded all expectations. Our tour guide Marshall really knows New York and we saw an amazing amount of points of interest in six hours. So much more than we could ever have done on our own and without having to be on a crowded tourist bus. Five Stars!! ⭐️ Highly Recommend!!!!

The best way to see New York City during the Christmas Season - I just got back from a quick weekend in Manhattan with my two oldest granddaughters—we went mainly to see all the Christmas lights and decorations. I wanted us to do a proper private tour, not one of those big bus things, so I scrolled through Tripadvisor and landed on Best New York Tours (it's Sheldon's outfit). The reviews were overwhelming—practically everybody raved about it. Our guide Marshall and driver Gregory showed up at the hotel in this nice big SUV that had a huge panoramic glass roof. The girls loved being able to look straight up at the buildings and lights without twisting around. We were out for a solid five hours, driving all over, stopping to get out and walk whenever something looked worth it. Marshall knows the city inside out and told us stories the whole time—history, fun facts, everything. We ended up seeing so much more than I'd planned on. It really was terrific. If you're taking kids or grandkids to NYC and want a comfortable, no-rush way to see the place, especially around the holidays, book these guys. You won't regret it!

Highly recommended guide - Sheldon was an excellent guide, patient and engaging with four children ages 6 to 13. He provided spectacular details via storytelling during our 4 hour tour around Manhattan. He is clearly passionate about New York City. The separate driver allowed us to "hop off" at multiple sites without having to worry about parking. Highly recommend.

worst tour ever - we took the New York City tour with family including children. sheldon cussed and spoke inappropriately in front of the children. He was so rude and not entertaining at all. He was the worst tour guide I've ever had.
