Food and History! - We had an incredible tour with Bruce, covering a ton of ground, learning a lot of history and tasting a great variety of food. Our 7yo kept up and was entertained and tried a little bit of everything!

New York: Taste the American Dream - Fantastic tour. Our guide Greg was very knowledgeable, providing a great historical background and loads of interesting stories. I have lived in NYC for decades and still learned new details about the history of this fabulous city — and discovered a hidden spot for great dumplings.

Loved the price and the tour guide - We loved the Iconic Eats Lower East Side food tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. There is a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes! There is a lot of history on this tour. And not as much food as I expected. There were four bites. However, the price and the deal was so affordable. So I can kind of see it. We loved the dumplings.

Amazing Lower East Side Food Tour with Bruce : history, culture and fantastic food - I had a fantastic time on the Taste the American Dream / Lower East Side Food Tour with Bruce. Bruce is an incredible guide who knows the neighborhood inside out. He explains the history of the Lower East Side in a way that is both fascinating and very easy to follow. You really feel like you’re discovering the true story of the neighborhood, not just walking through it. The food stops were excellent and very well chosen: Fu Zhou Wei Zhong for dumplings, Nolita Pizza, the legendary Yonah Schimmel Knishery, Mia’s Cocina at Essex Market, and The Pickle Guys. Each stop had its own story and added something unique to the experience. Bruce is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about New York and its history. This tour was one of the highlights of my stay in NYC. Highly recommended, especially with Bruce as your guide.

The most information filled walking tour I have ever been on. Greg was so knowledgeable and so kind - We did the lower East side food tour. It was a freezing cold day and yet we thoroughly enjoyed our adventure. Greg is such a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. I learned more on this tour than any tour I have ever taken. And I have taken quite a few in different places. We learned about the history and the architecture and of the cultures of the people who settled in the area. I’ve actually taken another tour of the lower East side and never learned most of what Greg had to share. He was kind enough to recommend restaurants for us and things to do. It was a wonderful experience and one that we look forward to sharing again with Greg. Some of the other tours that he mentioned to us sounded wonderful and we hope to book again with Greg as our tour guide.

Tower to flee - We went to the meeting point 20 minutes in advance and waited for a guide for 45 minutes in vain. No one has contacted us to inform us of the cancellation of this tour. We have tried to reach our contact with the telephone number indicated on the reservation: the number does not exist. We had not had our usual breakfast at the hotel due to this tour. Waiting 45 minutes in the shadow of a high rise to leave in a neighborhood (court) where there are not even bars to go to the bathroom is scandalous. And especially unprofessional. We do not recommend this tour because the least we can do is warn customers.
