Fascinating tour - Was a great tour, from a guide who was really involved and has authentic, first hand information to share. Was so knowledgeable, even for those who don’t have a huge interest in the mafia.

Not enough mob time, more walking time - It was meh, a lot of walking and not enough talking...not a lot of mob sites, but it was nice to see Little Italy towards the end.

This tour needs whacking - Got to be honest, cant see how the 5 star reviews are merited. We met at a restaurant and were ushered in and listened to our guide Dennis tell us about the history of the restaurant. We then were seated and served a bowl of spaghetti with tomato sauce as Dennis began to tell us about his life and time in the NYPD. There was no structure to his storytelling, he more responded to questions. As we know with large groups some of the questions can be quite inane. At one point he mentioned he worked in the Middle East and if we wanted to know more about that he'd tell us. No Dennis this is a Mafia tour not a Middle East tour. After 90 minutes in the restaurant we were given headsets and ventured out into the neighbourhood. The commentary just meandered about the people who used to live there and some history about the buildings. There was very little Mafia talk and although Dennis seemed a nice guy he was hardly an engaging orator. After 15 minutes we decided as a group of four we had had enough handed in our headsets. If you think this will be a whistle stop tour from location to location of mob hits you will be disappointed. I could not recommend this tour, especially for young children. For us it was 400 bucks and a day wasted in NYC.
