Great content, lots of history! - Not really an average villain/gangster tour. This tour is about the shady characters who put together the building blocks of New York City. Learned a lot! Guide was entertaining and knowledgeable.

History with a Criminal Record—and I Loved Every Minute of It - If you think NYC was built by polite handshakes and zoning meetings, think again. This tour throws you straight into the alleyways of history with the outlaws, hustlers, and political schemers who actually built the bones of the city—one bribe, brawl, and backroom deal at a time. Our guide was part historian, part stand-up comic, and part time-traveling gossip columnist. She made 19th-century scandals feel juicier than anything on Bravo. I laughed, I learned, and I left slightly suspicious that I might be related to a corrupt Tammany Hall boss. This isn’t your average “and here’s where Hamilton ate a sandwich” tour. It’s for people who want to hear the messy, glorious, rebellious truth about New York City’s rise. 10/10 would bribe a city official to do it again.

Hidden Gems of NYC History - I truly enjoyed the tour. It was a great way to discover the hidden sides of NYC's history that aren't usually talked about. The information was presented with humor and clarity, making it both engaging and insightful. Definitely a memorable experience.

Entertaining and informative tour! - Krombie was a terrific tour guide - very excited about the topic and very well informed. We really enjoyed our time with her learning about pirates and Wall Street hustlers and lots of other seedy characters. We also got to see a lot of the Wall Street area that was unfamiliar to us. Highly recommended. We look forward to doing some of Krombie's other tours.

Fast-paced and entertaining tour - Guide Krombie held forth on a fast-paced, entertaining yet informative take on a slice of New York history. I learned much from this tour that I would not have otherwise on my own. It's well-researched and thoughtfully structured. I'm usually averse to tours but after this, I plan on signing up for another one with this group.
