- Empire Vacations Day Tours - New York - Starting from New York, the tour travels south through New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland, arriving at Capitol Hill in Washington DC. The journey begins with a visit to Arlington Cemetery to see JFK’s gravesite.
The tour then proceeds deeper into Washington to view the Capitol, Senate, and White House, the core of the US government. Following this, the tour visits the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, and then the Washington, Lincoln, Vietnam, and Korean Memorials for exploration and photography.
In the late afternoon, enjoy a panoramic city tour before returning to New York City in the early evening.
Please Note: The tour plans to stop in front of the White House, Capitol, and Senate for commentary and photos. However, due to security concerns, this may not always be possible. If such a situation arises, the tour will be adjusted accordingly.
- Arlington National Cemetery - Arlington is the resting place for veterans from every American war, from the Revolution to the most recent conflicts, and was officially designated a military cemetery in 1864. Among the over 260,000 interred are three unidentified service members at the Tomb of the Unknowns, and John F. Kennedy, whose gravesite is marked by an eternal flame. A passport or U.S. ID is required for entry due to security measures.
- U.S. Capitol - The Capitol is one of the world’s most architecturally stunning and symbolically significant buildings. The Senate and House of Representatives have convened here for over two centuries. Since its inception in 1793, the Capitol has been constructed, burned, rebuilt, expanded, and restored, standing today as a tribute to its creators and the American people and government.
- White House - This iconic historical and political symbol of America also serves as the residence and office of the President of the United States.
- National Air and Space Museum - The most visited of the Smithsonian museums, it showcases the Wright Brothers’ 1903 Flyer and Lindbergh’s Spirit of St. Louis. If the Air and Space Museum is unavailable, the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History will be visited instead.
- Vietnam Veterans Memorial - This poignant memorial honors the men and women who served in one of America’s most debated wars.
- Lincoln Memorial - “In this temple, as in the hearts of the people for whom he saved the Union, the memory of Abraham Lincoln is enshrined forever.” Beneath these words, the 16th President of the United States is immortalized in marble, symbolizing unity, strength, and wisdom.
- Korean War Veterans Memorial - This tribute to Korean War veterans includes the Pool of Remembrance and the triangular Field of Service, depicting 19 soldiers in combat.
