• Aoraki Mount Cook National Park (Te Wahipounamu) - Departing from Mt Cook Village, weather permitting, there will be opportunities to capture stunning images of the mountain. Standing at 3724m, Aoraki/Mt Cook is New Zealand’s tallest peak, yet it can be admired without any acclimatization from the village, which is just 750m above sea level.

• Lake Pukaki - As we journey along one of the world’s most scenic roads, Lake Pukaki will gradually appear before us. This lake is one of the bluest you’ll ever see, beautifully set against the backdrop of Aoraki/Mt Cook and the Southern Alps. Expect to capture breathtaking photos and be amazed by the view. It’s easy to understand why many scenes from Lord of the Rings were filmed nearby, and these will be pointed out during the tour.
• High Country Salmon - Leaving Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park and heading towards Queenstown, we visit High Country Salmon, a local salmon farm, where visitors can feed the fish and sample some of the freshest salmon in New Zealand.
• Lindis Pass - As we ascend in altitude, Lindis Pass offers spectacular views down through the valleys. Being one of only three alpine roads through the otherwise impassable Southern Alps, we pause at the renowned lookout at the top of the pass for a must-have photo.
• Kawarau Suspension Bridge - Departing Queenstown, we travel through the breathtaking Kawarau Gorge, passing remarkable views, the Kawarau Suspension Bridge, and the famous Roaring Meg Lookout. If time and light allow, we will stop for the first great photo opportunity of the tour.
• Kawarau River - Enjoy stunning views of the Kawarau Gorge as we navigate through it towards Cromwell. We also pause at the incredible Roaring Meg Lookout for a fantastic photo opportunity.
• Queenstown - The tour concludes in the beautiful city of Queenstown. As we exit the city, the guide will highlight and guide you past some of the area’s top attractions before dropping you off in central Queenstown and at central hotel locations.
