A great place to visit - We had a great day, a perfect spot staff very helpful and such an unspoilt area. Would definitely recommend this to others Having visited other similar places would rate this one as the best and good value for money.

Fascinating day out - This is the best geothermal park we have visited. Beautifully maintained paths, less touristed, with lovely staff. Spectacular mud pools, geysers and silica terraces. We particularly liked the deep cave, watching the fantails dive between us. The setting is also very beautiful, with a short ferry ride across the river.

Photographers paradise - Fantastic geothermal place full of vibrant colours and interesting textures. Very well maintained paths. Definitely worth the price. Much much more interesting and beautiful than Craters of the Moon (however very cheap) or Te Puia (highly overpriced). Cannot recommend more!

Great trip! - We all really enjoyed this trip. The geothermals were amazing - very interesting. There was a very short boat trip across the lake and then you walked around the thermals, which took around 45 minutes (wear good walking shoes and expect some exertion as you walk up hill) The geysers weren’t very active when we were there, but that was OK! Overall a really great experience.

Thermal wonderland. - Friendly staff set us on our way by boat to a truly wonderful natural thermal area. The walk through the bush is well signposted and includes lovely lookout spots. Many different colours of algae and bubbling water as well as mud. We enjoyed the lack of crowds apparently caused by State Highway 1 access being closed but so glad we arrived from the east.

Must See - This was such a cool spot I enjoyed the ferry ride over and the various trails etc. beautiful lovely walk and the Geothermal Pools were stunning. We were recommended to go here by our travel agent and I’m so glad. The pictures don’t do it justice.

Thermal Experience At Its Best - From boarding the ferry, the self-guided tour and returning to the cafe there was absolutely nothing lacking on this tour. The ferry was readily on demand and would return for you when you needed. The thermal valley was stunning one of the best we'd seen, as was the cave.

Super accessible thermal attraction - The last time we were here was just after covid and we were the only customers and there was only one staff member. What a joy it was therefore to see the business up to fully functioning and to see so many appreciative customers. A very accessible way to see geothermal activity and with a nice little boat ride thrown it. Brilliant if you're near Taupo. Highly recommended.

Very disappointing - Sad. Very sad. The decline is completely horrible. Was last there 13 years ago and wow oh wow. Now due to the nearby power stations taking the geothermal energy to ad power to the national grid has taken the very power that this needs to happen. This is NOT WORTH PAYING FOR DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME AND EFFOERT!!!!!! Such a shame!!!!
