👍🏻 - We enjoyed the narrated walk. The insights made it much more interesting. We would recommend for anyone visiting the Cliff Walk for the first time.

Amazing Mansions! - Beautiful, beautiful buildings, and a wonderful light walk for people to explore. You can definitely tell that some houses wish to retain their privacy (tend to be the newer homes), while others don't mind if you gaze at the gilded age mansions. Regardless of what you see, it is a very nice walk along the cliffs, with splashing waves below. Very surprised at how much of the area is now part of Salve Regina University. There is one rough spot that may be difficult for older people, or less-abled people to get through, just a head's up. Highly, highly, recommend this walk.

Well done audio guide that puts you in control of the tour - A very well done audio guide. I liked that it was GPS sensitive and delivered narration based on my current location. I also liked that I could pause, rewind, and replay. Although I didn't use any of the links for additional information, I thought was a good added feature.

Easy breezy walk with stunning views. - My wife and I planned an excursion through Newport, RI on our way to Cape Cod, MA and were very happy with our experiences. Newport in itself has always been a destination (and summer residence) for the wealthy but this quaint seaside town has SO MUCH history that's it's hard to take in with a short visit and if you plan wisely you can easily enjoy this area on a modest budget. We'd suggest at least 2 full days to sightsee. One sure way to appreciate the 'mansion district' is to do the cliff walk. It may sound adventurous, and possibly risky, but this is a very easy trail of 3.5 miles. There are some rocky sections that can be tricky to navigate but overall it's well worth the 2-3 hour walk. The cliff walk allows views of many of the mansions you couldn't get otherwise unless you tour every single one of them. And, in our opinion, we toured 2 (The "Breakers" + 1) and were very satisfied by adding the cliff walk. Not to mention the breathtaking rocky shoreline of New England that never gets old. We highly recommend this cliff walk and adding the audio tour that is narrated via GPS points to teach you about each and every mansion you'll pass by. Bring some water, a sun hat with retainer cord (It can be very windy) and sneakers, sandals are a bad idea - enjoy.

Overall, great experience. - Overall, it was an excellent experience having the audio guide vs. just doing the walk without it. The only complaint is that occasionally we would get kicked out of the audio and have to get back into it. It was a slight nuisance, but still worth having the audio experience.

Audio dies before the end - Audio kicks out toward the end of the trail. This is my second tour and both times, different years, the audio kicks out and you miss the last landmarks.
