Amazing way to experience locations - Fascinating tour with excellent host providing a great insight into Newtown's food scene, breweries and street art, the latter proving a lot more interesting than I expected! I have joined several Local Sauce tours in Sydney plus one in Brisbane and all have been 5-star experiences covering aspects that I would have missed as an independent traveler.

Great tour - Daniel was a brilliant guide. He was very engaging and knowledgeable. We are not especially art lovers but wanted to try something different - Daniel was very enthusiastic and made it very interesting for us. The snack and drink stops were very good too. Daniel went above and beyond at the end of the tour and escorted us to the bus stop, advised us what bus we needed to get, how long it would be and also when to get off which was very much appreciated. Thank you

see the sights, beauty, grit and character of Newtown - The street art and food tour of Newtown was a great way to see the sights, beauty, grit and character of this vibrant, busy area just out of Sydney CBD. Justin was the leader of our student group and showed a passion for the city and great knowledge of the cultures influencing food trends in the area. It was also inspiring and uplifting to hear stories about the artists and the meaning and intentions in their work, often layered in hidden details and intricate messages. A great way to see the artistic and cultural influences of today's modern world.

Must do in Sydney! ❤️ Local Sauce tours - FANTASTIC tour led by Melinda. I loved exploring Newtown, a district in Sydney that many visitors unfortunately might miss - the area is evocative of Brooklyn or Stoke Newington, for example, and Melinda expertly guided us to delicious (!) local eateries and the nuances of street art. Newtown is full of cool small shops including vintage and much more. See the real Sydney with Local Sauce tours - do not miss these experiences!

Newtown Chewtown - I took some friends from the UK on this tour and they thoroughly enjoyed it. I was pleased to know the tour guide Melinda was a local and she had grown up in the area so she knew lots of hidden places to guide us and many stories to tell. She had a unique insight into the street art having studied it formally and written a book. She was friends with many of the artists. The food we tried was delicious. I was happy that the tour catered for vegetarians and food intolerances. It was a lovely way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon in Newtown.

Fabulous local knowledge tour - Fabulous tour by Melinda, from Newtown. Her knowledge of the street artists and their art was incredible. Lovely person to be with too. She took us to some delightful eateries as well - many in the back streets where you wouldn’t generally go as a tourist, such as the Pie Inn and Young Henry’s. One of our best tours in Australia. Would highly recommend.

Fun tour! - The street art was great, but the background, stories, meanings and discussions encouraged by our guide Daniel were even better! He was very informative, clearly enthusiastic about what he was showing to us and had an amazing, fun, positive, infectious energy throughout! The food we tried was tasty and incorporated well into the tour. Would highly recommend!
